Lady Buffs deserved it. No one gave them much chance at the start of the season but Prock and his staff convinced them they could win. When was the last time WT won both the men's and women's LSC Championships in the same year? Or has it ever happened?

Yes, it has happened. I remember both teams hosting the regional tournament. I'll try to look up the year.

The Wt Men and Women were both Tournaments Champions in 2019.

Thanks, it's a lot of fun. This year has been rewarding to watch the team grow together.

I would urge ASU fans to support Alesha Ellis. I know her personally. She is a class act and a winner.
ASU simply did not have the talent level the top 3 teams have. However, she got the most out of the
talent she had. Finishing 4th and beating the defending national champs is an indication of what is to come.
With Commerce going D1, ASU & Wt will be the teams to beat in the LSC.

I am not an ASU Alum. So, I don't follow or support ASU sports. (just a parent of a former ASU athlete)

Here's the deal. Commerce played awful GAC, RMAC and MIAA teams non conference. Only team that was good was Pueblo.

WT played nationally ranked teams and most of their non conference games were against regionally ranked D2 teams all over the country.

I think the records would be flipped around if each team played the other ones schedule.

I stand by my comment. Winning the 3 combinations (head to head, regular season championship, tournament championship) means WT should host.

Yes sir and well deserved. It would be ridiculous otherwise unless Mesa would have won their conference tournament. Only losing 4 games playing cupcakes is different than losing 10 games with an elite schedule.

Also might have been easier to do this since Commerce is out the D2 door and give them the boot in the rear escort out.

This isnt directed at you but others will eventually figure out that I do know my stuff when it comes to football and basketball SOS and regional rankings.

Good luck to the Lady Buffs. Wish I still lived there to see it.

LMAO. It wasn't a screw job. Lady Buffs challenged themselves non conference and Lady Lions didn't. WT didn't lose all of them. They scheduled 7 playoff teams and went 2-5. Commerce challenged only 1 and eked out a win over a 6th seeded Pueblo.

Beat the Buffs heads up either time and the regionals were yours. If anything LCU had a better claim to regionals than commerce did if they had won the tournament.

As it is it was common sense. WT swept head to head, won the conference, and won the post season tournament.

If the situation was reversed and WT was the one getting screwed I'd be big enough to admit it. No shame in admitting the obvious. You are 0-1 against Midwestern and 0-1 against St freakin Mary's in conference.

Here are the selection criteria:

• DII in-region winning percentage
• Overall DII winning percentage
• Strength of schedule against DII programs
• Head-to-head wins and losses against DII programs
• Results against common DII opponents
• In-region RPI
• Performance indicator
• Record vs. ranked teams

Doesn't the above criteria convert into a numeric formula? In other words, there is very little, if any, human element in the results. It's the "numbers."
That does not mean the formula is not "weighted." Some of the criteria are "worth more" than others.
It's clear SOS and Head-to-Head are the big ones.

BTW - What is a Performance Indicator??
