One of West Chester's wins was over DIII Wesley, so they're only 18-4 for rankings purposes.

          I'd add:

BOLD Underlined - Zero chance without winning their conference tournament.

            Agreed. Add Rock, too.

Although it will be interesting once SOS goes in.

              Re: Atlantic Regional

I think IUP has a chance of making it without winning the conference tournament...
              3 teams from MEC
              1 team from CIAA
and 4 teams from PSAC...and they could be in the mix...

Zero chance is too absolute for me...

              My top 10:
              1 WL
              2. Va State
              3. Ship
              4. WJ
              5. WC
              6. Fairmont
              7. Kutz
              8. ESU
              9. IUP
              10. SRU

                  No way. IUP swept Rock.

Rock SOS terrible. Few quality wins. Two D3.

                        Re: Atlantic Regional

We fell into this same trap in football. People over-valuing us. We are not a #2 seed. But if people want to put us there, we'll take it. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose in our conference tournament and then in the first round of the playoffs. We barely beat IUP and a WJ team without one of their best player. Are we the best team in the CIAA? YES! But I'm definitely not ranking the CIAA conference up there from what I saw this year.

                          Re: Atlantic Regional

Injuries don't get factored in ... beating IUP and Wheeling Jesuit are two huge in-region, non-conference wins.

                            Re: Atlantic Regional

VSU has gotten all of the guys back from injuries. Walt Williams is the difference maker. He makes the team go and Brandon Holley can light it up from the outside. The only game that concerns me is the Bowie State game at Bowie. That is the only game I see VSU losing and that includes the CIAA tournament. Don't discount the CIAA as they have some very good teams this year. Heck, JCSU took #2 Queens College down to the wire. VSU will be fine and should be ranked no lower than a 2 or 3 seed when the region starts.

Pretty bold having IUP ahead of an ESU squad who beat IUP head to head AND has two fewer losses than IUP. Hard to believe the selection committee would overlook W/L record and head to head results in favor of the strength of two losses at the very beginning of the season but hay, the NCAA does make some very peculiar decisions sometimes.

                                Re: Atlantic Regional

The D2SIDA poll from the Sports Information Directors has proven to be much more accurate than the NABC poll and I know they do take SOS into account.

There is no way, at this point, that WJ plays WL in the first round if the season ended today. The specific no conference teams playing each other will not only come into play, but WJ should not end as the 8th team.

                                1. West Liberty
                                2. Virginia State
Only 2 that should be for sure

                                3. through 8. will be any order of WJ, FSU, Ship, WC, ESU and KU
                                My guess at this time:
                                3. Ship
                                4. WJ
                                5. ESU
                                6. WC
                                7. FSU
                                8. KU

                                9. IUP
                                10. SRU / Gannon
