CLARION at MARYLAND on Friday evening. VULCANS at CINCINNATI on Saturday evening. I always feel if a team can keep the final score within 30 pts, as the C'HAWKS did, these games can be a fun learning experience for D2 players. Sort of surprised that BORO chose a CIAA based tournament to start the season but COACH WHEELER has her own agenda.

Wheeler hit the jackpot when she convinced her two stars to stick around another year. Edinboro is going to be a major problem this year -- likely the Region favorites in my opinion.

Probably since 3 of the Atlantic Region Poll top 10 teams are CIAA. Learn to beat them now and it will pay dividends in March.

      2SIDA Atlantic Region Poll
      Place Team Points 2017-18 Records
      1 Edinboro (1) 53 27-4
      2 Virginia Union (1) 51 28-3
      3 Indiana (Pa.) (3) 47 30-4
      4 Glenville State (1) 41 31-2
      5 California (Pa.) 31 24-7
      6 Notre Dame (Ohio) 25 23-9
      7 Johnson C. Smith 22 18-10
      8 East Stroudsburg 15 16-11
      9 Kutztown 12 18-12
      10 Virginia State 11 23-6

Virginia Union (women) smacked Edinboro yesterday by 21 points. That's scary.

KU picked to win the east goes 0-2 against Lincoln and Fayette. Bloom goes 2-0 by winning over Lincoln and Fayette.

Tom moves to 2-0 with another easy one today. IUP defeats Ohio Valley, 103-62.

Things should get a kittle more challenenging against Bloomsburg Wednesday night.

How did he decide to play the #13 and #14 teams in the GMAC pre-season poll ? He'd have more of a challenge just scrimmaging 1st team vs 2nd team. Oh well 2 Ws are 2Ws, I guess.

No idea. I very loosely follow the women's team from a distance.

Gannon moves to 2-0 on the season with a buzzer beater in a crazy overtime win over Elizabeth City State on Saturday and a more conventional 11-point win over JC Smith on Sunday.

Gannon might be decent if they can control turnovers. It'll be interesting to see.

Very excited to see young players who sat and learned last year, making plays this year for ESU!! Julia Kutz and Kaitlyn Swint came up big the other night against a tough Caldwell squad! Marlene Bassett needs to stay determined and not get frustrated by the constant double-teams she gets. This year's team is coming together nicely!! Diane Decker's recruits are performing, now if she can get them all healthy!!

It appears the PSAC is treating last night's IUP/Bloom game as a non-conference game as it is reflecting in the overall standings but both are showing 0-0 in conference. I assume this has to do with the East needing to fill up Cheyney spots?

CALU still has a game scheduled with CHEYNEY but it's not listed as a league game.

Cheyney is no longer a member of the PSAC so that's understandable.

Obviously Bloomsburg is so that's why I asked if perhaps Bloomsburg just needed an extra game or something and IUP had an open date (so, in theory, it's just like a non-conference game).
