Disappointing defensive effort by the VULCANS. They simply don't have the scorers to play this sort of game. Hate playing away versus quality opponent right after holiday break. SCOTS did great work holding SEAIRRA BARRETT to half her average. The latest Brit at CALU, SHAUNA HARRISON, got 12 pts in 11 minutes and will likely get more time as she gets acclimated to the system. Her experience in international competition in Europe says a lot about her game which looks a bit like a young EMMA MAHADY. On to GANNON on Saturday.

The IUP ladies remained undefeated with a 65-40 win over Gannon.

The big news was guard Lauren Wolosik returned after missing the past month with a hand injury.

Forward Maura D'Ana remains out although she appears close to returning. Being their closest game this year has been a 19-point win, it seems they are really taking their time with her.

Of note, Seton Hill stayed hot and got a big win at SRU last night.

was a bright light in this game, and hopefully will earn a bigger role.

A good win on the road yesterday by ESU Women!! They were a bit shorthanded, but played through it, and are just a game under .500 on the road this year...

With all due respect -- and you're due plenty of respect -- you beat a ballclub with one all-PSAC guard and very little else in terms of offensive firepower. In other words, Diane's ladies were life-and-death to beat a one-girl team.

So it's not a good win?? I think almost any win on the road is a good win in the PSAC...I wouldn't call a win at Mansfield a good win. Ship had better size at almost every position on the floor Saturday...

It was a win. Not the greatest win. A win. :)

Here's to hoping the IUP ladies don't fall for the Madden Curse tonight. They've had some issues at Mercyhurst the past couple years.

Recall year last IUP beat them by 51 at the KCAC and then amazingly lost weeks later up there.

IUP ladies going insane at SRU.

8 treys in first 13 minutes. Up 38-14 early 2nd.

                            IUP (8-0, 13-0)
                            Cal (7-1, 13-1)

                            Seton Hill (4-4, 10-5)

                            MEC
