#26 - Findlay is top incoming-G-MAC school. Tiffin, not too far behind at #36.
#60 - Cedarville is top current G-MAC school.
#63 - Charleston is top MEC school. WJU is not far behind at #75.
I'm impressed we came 75th. But I've always had an issue with these types of rankings. It just feels like it rewards the programs that have the most obscure sports. A Championship team will always get 100 points no matter how many schools compete at that level. For example, Ship got 100 points for winning the D2 field hockey title. But there are only 16 teams in D2 and it's given equal value to a Basketball championship that has over 300 teams playing every year.

Any possibility on Thomas More in the Cincy suburbs on the Kentucky side becoming a GMAC member? Just saw they're leaving the D-III Presidents Athletic Conference after this season with no announced home. D-III women's basketball powerhouse and steady football program. Don't think they're world beaters in other sports, but that would be an interesting possibility that would fit the geography.

We've actually thrown that name around before - mostly because they were always a far outlier in the PAC. However, I have a hunch that they join Transylvania in the Heartland. Or, as looking said, maybe they go NAIA (the Mid-South needs schools and is a nice footprint for them).

They would fit the G-MAC footprint nicely though. I've always said that I think TNU is a flight risk - so initial expansion in that direction should be "between them and us, but closer to us". TMC fits that perfectly.

I would pass if I were the GMAC. The next step needs to something that elevates the conference a few notches more because it's really good right now as is. I do not think TMC fits that bill. Perhaps if other schools do not shake out then yea, but not now.

Thomas More is not leaving the NCAA D3. They will join either the HCAC or the NCAC. It's a travel issue only and both of those conferences fit their geographic profile.

In that Director's Cup PDF, I did not see a line for women or men basketball, also no football line. Maybe, I am in the dark on the whole situation.

All I can say is Wesleyan has signed on with Learfield. Still, my opinion is KWC is continually tweaking everything within the athletic department in order to brand it's image.

However, KWC will always focus on their five major sports. Men: Basketball, Baseball, Football. Women: Basketball, Softball. Women's Volleyball seems to be taking a back seat. The Track and Field teams will get better. Eventually, Tony Rowe will host a top notch Meet in Owensboro. I know they are working on the new Track and Field. That will be the elite Track and Field facility for most of the high schools in West Kentucky. The Colors were being designed with Purple and Red, or those were talked about at the press conference when they announced the construction.

Only Spring sports are listed individually on the final report. Fall and Winter sports were listed individually on prior reports. Only the Fall and Winter totals appear on this report.

Heard this from an A.D. within the GMAC that both Ashland and Notre Dame have a standing invite until the end of the month. Now with the A.D. saying that, I have always been under the impression that both schools have already been invited multiple times and have passed multiple times. However, with the growth of the GMAC and the current geographical location of many of its institutions, do these 2 universities/colleges finally say yes and make the jump? And if Notre Dame makes the jump...will the MEC go after AB?

Notable that swimming and diving moved from "emerging" heading/label to just being listed with other sports.

Puff and the G-MAC looks like a college conference. Really nice to see.
