Lou's hyperbole on the Normandy invasion is just as stupid as when they compared Antifa to the D-Day landings. Both references are in fact insulting to those who went through it. Comparing playing football- or street riots- to the hell that they went through that day is embarrassing.

I'm heartless... it gets the message across. Poster said "it's embarrassing." Not really. Maybe people should get some INsensitivity training. ;-) Again, it's a metaphor. It doesn't mean it's like it. Hyperbole is used to make the point. I don't see many worrying about feelings for a lot of the demonstrations going on.. or even just that anthem kneeling thing.
