Dominick Puni transferred from UCM who then started for two years at KU would have been another on this list and probably #1.

And the sad part is there's probably a lot of guys transferring to FBS and becoming backups or poor starters who end up tanking their own draft stock when they likely could have raised their profile by continuing to be a star at the D2 level.
If a player from the Toronto Argonauts (I know it is not low profile) and a English rugby program can get drafted your point stands to reason. I am at get off my lawn age yet and I don't typically gripe about people younger than me. However, what I notice in the youth of today (as well as have heard from those more in the know with this college-aged group) is that it is a now, now, now mentality. Coaching is strange now because many kids in secondary sports not only think they deserve to start but they should get priority reps. They think they can dominate at the next level.

I like to bring up a story. I went back to college a few years after graduating. I sat in a fellowship group on campus and a new freshman was in the meeting his plan was to walk-on at UCO's basketball team and then transfer to OU and get a scholarship. I don't know if that is admirable for holding onto dreams or delusion.

Not to mention a USports player got drafted by the Lions in the 3rd round.

However, given his current abilities, if he had transferred to an FBS institution, he likely would have gotten absolutely smoked and been undrafted. But he stuck at UBC and became a 3rd round pick. Maybe that's the best it gets for him, who knows. But he gave himself a shot by dominating at that level.
