Daemen and D'Youville will join the PSAC as affiliate members for tennis in 26-27-- Daemen for men's and women's, D'Youville for women's.

Their primary conference, the ECC, was sitting at 4 and 5 members for men's and women's tennis, respectively, so with this it seems likely that they'll drop the sport. No word on where the remaining three members (UDC, Queens, St. Thomas Aquinas) will put their programs going forward.
The ECC and CACC should have done a partnership for tennis. There were only two remaining CACC men's teams (Chestnut Hill College and Jefferson) and they joined the PSAC but the CACC has six women's teams. The ECC sponsors Men's Tennis with the CACC teams as affiliates while the CACC sponsors Women's Tennis with the ECC teams as affiliates. Unfortunately, incoming CACC member Monroe does not have tennis.

The ECC will be adding Field Hockey in Fall 2026.

    • Worth noting that tennis is probably switching to 4 regions, most likely in 2027–28. https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/cha...XTE_Report.pdf

Texas Wesleyan's board of trustees has authorized a move to Division II, with a target date of beginning D2 competition in 2028. No word on what conference they would join. The Rams are based out of Fort Worth, and currently compete in the NAIA.

Lone Star Conference bound I hope.

Seems like the obvious destination. 20 members is a lot for any conference though, let alone a D2 conference.

              • All we need now is for one of the Texas D3 schools to join the LSC. Then we’d have a LSC football silo. Probably would never happen because WOU and CWU would leave for the RMAC, to make a silo.

                • Geographically speaking, its Lone Star or GAC. Realistically speaking, I have no clue where they will end up.

Is there any desire to split across football/non-football lines? Hard to imagine a conference larger than the PSAC, and we at least use divisions to minimize the travel.

Or, if CWU and WOU end up in the RMAC, what's to say that the RMAC won't keep the 2 non-conference dates?

Is there even any inclination that the RMAC wants to add them?

Likely Texas Wesleyan to the LSC and the LSC doesnt renew the current agreement with Central Washington and Western Oregon.

I heard rumors that the RMAC isnt an option.

It does upset some CW and WO folks, but hard to see being an independent D2 like NE State without close options and may need to consider moves up/down.
