Re: Bloomsburg

The PSAC west has more scholarship money, but Kutztown and Ship knocked off Cal and SRU. Cal is 0-2 and SRU is 1-1. Bloomsburg is 51-18 against teams from the PSAC Western Division since 1999. If someone has the secret sauce on how to win, please post it here.

Re: Bloomsburg
IUP pumps all the coin in to three sports. Baseball and others are treated as second class citizens.
Football and Men's and Women's baskeball get the celebrity status.
They were very open about it saying they wanted the Big 3 to be national level competitors (which they all three are). The rest would be just regional level.

What is Bloomsburg record against the West with Coach Darragh as head coach? Take out the first three seasons with Coach Hale recruits and it can't be good. Coach Darragh is a great coach. I just don't agree with the changes he made. Coach Hale and Coach McBryan were great recruiters of quarterbacks, running backs and linemen. That's all gone now.

What gets in the way are low-revenue programs with big rosters and higher costs. Like lacrosse, field hockey, baseball/softball, and wrestling.

Re: Bloomsburg
Honestly, I couldn't care less about the Dixon Trophy myself, because it's apples and oranges. Some sports are emphasized by schools; some aren't.
But I'm not too big on dismissing the non-revenue sports, either. Husky, you've got at least one guy pulling a paycheck in pro baseball after his Bloomsburg career. That's on the verge of being a damn good program. In fact, the baseball program probably has more gravitas than the football program right now.

Things will get real interesting of the lose at Mercyhurst because they have Ship, Kutztown then West Chester. When was the last time the Huskies started 1-5?
