I don't watch CNN. MSNBC consistently has journalists from the NY Times and the Washington Post. I've always considered them to be the papers of record. I'm fine getting my news there. NPR is also a trusted source. Congrats for the correct spelling and usage of "propaganda". I'm impressed!!

Couple that with the forced resignation of Editorial Editor James Bennet in July of this year for having audacity to publish a letter from a US Senator ON THE OP-ED PAGE that ran counter to the political views of the Times staff and you start to get a flavor of the current political leaning and reporting at the NYT...Reporting only presents the left wing view and ANY discenting views will not be tolerated.

All Americans have the same rights. They are contained in the first 10 amendments to the US Constitution. No were in those rights does it say that these do not apply to LGB, or ANY other group for that matter.

You badly misread the current political climate if you perceive the NYT and WAPO as left wing. Maybe from a Trumpist pov they may appear left, but from the AOC/BERNIE wing those media are dead center. To suggest that JEFF BEZOS is anything but a thorough going capitalist is just silly.

Weather you like it or not, these two publications have become little more than left-wing editorial outlets that do not tolerate discenting views or opinions...in the news room, on social media and certainly not in actual stories. The unchecked attacks by fellow reporters on Weiss and the forced resignation of Bennet speak LOUDLY about the state of the current news room across the nation...Only one political view will be tolerated and if you stray from that, you open yourself up to personal attacks and run a real risk of being fired. If you are a report at the NYT, WAPO or almost any other news paper across the US and you have ANY "non-conforming" view points, EVERY day you go to work you are going into a hostile work environment.

Journalism, true journalism, is uncovering of facts, pro and con, and presenting them in context. If you ignore facts that don't conform with your view OR sque facts to to meet a particular purpose, you are not a journalist...you are an editorialist. And a paper that allows and often openly encourages this is not being fair and impartial in it's reporting regardless of it's public statements. That is what the NYT has allowed itself to become...little more that the unofficial propaganda outlet for the left-wing democratic socialist movement.

That is editorial policy. Problem is that for the NYT and WAPO, the editorial policy has become the overriding policy of the various news departments.

Also worth noting that people present the NYT and WAPO as the bastion of journalistic integrity that is 100% accurate and unbiased in their reporting...Rarely have I heard of the NY Post and Washington Times presented is such a glowing journalistic light!

Also worth noting that the NYT and WAPO have OP-ED sections were they proport to present view points and opinions that run counter to the editorial policy of the paper. Clearly as documented by the Weiss and Bennet attacks and firing, even on the OP-ED page discenting opinions will NOT be tolerated! If you can't present a differing opinion on the actual page dedicated to differing opinions, what do you think the chances are of getting any stories, no matter how well sources, that run counter in the "main" body of the paper?? And reporter that might try to do that run the risk of verbal attack and professional castration from supposed collegues and perhaps even being fired by the paper's management.

Yes I would...Just as I would publish any letter from a sitting congressman or senator provided that person is not advocating illegal activity, presenting lies or engaging in personal attacks. I think it is important to know what our politicans are thinking without the filter of what passes for journalism now days.
