Man, they don't even try in Pennsylvania, do they?

They've been having good luck south of the Mason-Dixon line, so they probably see little reason to get away from what they've been doing. Pa. recruiting is so competitive with a multitude of D2 and D3 programs. Was glad to see Ship snag what look to be a couple of interesting prospects from Virginia and Md. in addition to a continued presence in Jersey.

There is a highly recruited Pa boy missing from that list: Spring-Ford's Harry Adieyefeh https://www.hudl.com/video/3/1166388...1870040c0bb9ab

I think they have such strong coaching connections in the DMV area that they just don't have in PA.

Bingo, why compete with 12-15 other programs for the same kids? Really frostburg and Bowie st are the rams competition and until recently the Rams success won out more often. Now they are both trending upward so it will get tougher, but other than those 2, nobody seems to try and have a big presence in the DMV.

Last 20 seasons: IUP 168, California 167, West Chester 159, Slippery Rock 151
Last 15 seasons: California 138, IUP 127, Slippery Rock 125, West Chester 122
Last 10 seasons: Slippery Rock 92, IUP 91, California 84, West Chester 84 (my math slightly differs from yours)
Last 5 seasons: IUP 48 wins, Slippery Rock 48, California 44, West Chester 42.
I guess you were just comparing the specific schools mentioned as opposed to most wins in that timespan?

Only reason I'm asking is because if my information and math is correct, then both Shepherd and Kutztown are tied with 46 wins over the last 5 seasons which would slot them behind IUP and SRU but before Cal and WCU. Over the last 10 seasons played I have Kutztown at 81 wins, just 3 wins behind WCU which I still think is impressive (Shepherd has 91 in that timespan I believe).

Shepherd has 53 wins over the last 5 seasons played and 102 wins over the last 10 seasons played. I omitted the 2020 year, since there was no season played.

But I think they are just talking about Pennsylvania teams and not PSAC teams.

Are you counting only regular season wins? Pretty sure if you include playoffs Shepherd is ahead of everyone in Region 1.

I honestly think that Shepherd has more wins than any Region 1 program since the school entered Division II. But there were a couple bad seasons early.

Its actually interesting to see the spurts of success. They hit on a big recruiting class and ride that for 2-3 years, then have a down year reloading.

Hoping we didn't just graduate that class, maybe Bagent can help us have a sustained bridge year into the next group!

I don't have anything on the Northeast-10 or the MEC/WVIAC, but I can't imagine anyone from those leagues with any wins as Shepherd since it joined D2 in 1994.

                          Wins since 1994 (PSAC teams)

A lot of battles in the playoffs for those top three as well. Bloom used to have our number.

Of course, you could keep going back in time. If you go back 10 more years I wonder if IUP eclipses that 8 game margin with Shepherd. If you go back 50 or 60 years IUP is still up there. West Chester has the most ALL-TIME wins, followed by IUP. I'm surprised Bloom is where it is since '94.
