The admission process goes like this:

Is somebody paying for you (and their check will clear)?

    You're in.
Don't know how it is in your area. Some of our legislators have not been crazy about discounts for out-of-state kids.

Marcus Stokes, the consensus 4-star QB who had committed to Florida and was booted after a video surfaced of him rapping and using the N word, only to ironically verbally commit to HBCU Albany State then lose that offer after online backlash has committed to...West Florida. Granted, Josh Portis was a 4-star QB and I wouldn't say he was a once in a lifetime player. West Florida is just blessed with incredible location.

Only thing stopping WF from FCS is a serviceable stadium.

He won’t play next year they have a big time QB Pee Wee Jarrett.

Some of the best Qbs this league has been have been 6'0 or less. Two Harlon Hill winners....Zulli (Ship) cut by Seahawks, and Terwilliger. Both were incredible. Game is moving away from 6'3 and taller. Rpo's, ability to release the ball quickly, and mobility are far more important with today's offenses. Of course if the Q is 6'3" and can do that....he is in top 5% of all Qs in nation

It's interesting how that has evolved. It used to be you wanted a guy at least 6'4" and 220 lbs. Now they are often just labeled as slow.

There were still some big QBs in the PSAC last year. Noah Mitchell was a big boy and the Gannon QB was a house.

To your point, SRU legend Randy McKavish wasn't very big, either. He was maybe 6'

Lenny Williams at IUP wasn't anywhere close to what they listed him at.

Dan Persa from Bethlehem was a shade under 6 feet and became the starting quarterback for Northwestern in 2010. He was on his way to becoming one of the better quarterbacks Northwestern ever had. Then, while throwing the winning TD pass against Iowa that season, he jumped up in excitement, came down awkwardly, and ruptured an Achilles tendon. Since his effectiveness was largely predicated on his exceptional scrambling ability he never was the same after that. Completed 73 percent of his passes that season — a Big 10 record.

              • The Big 33 roster was announced today. Really strange to not see an IUP commit on that list. PSAC commits represented:

                Cal - 1
                East Stroudsburg - 1
                Slippery Rock - 1

The school with the most? Saint F*'n Francis!!!

Reality Check: St. Francis was 9-3 last year and made the playoffs where they got hammered by Delaware. SFU beat Duquesne 51-14. Chris Villareal is still the HC and Tom Rogish is on the staff. Maybe the Red Flash aren't so bad after all.

I did see that Rogish was on staff. I agree that they're much improved but the NEC is so hard to gauge. Just like you showed, they can play well one week then get destroyed another. I imagine Villareal is getting much better at selling D1 football instead of selling St Francis and Loretto. Maybe he takes them all golfing on the campus golf course with the golf motorcycles. I've been on campus and I don't get it. They've gotta be discounting very heavily. The average discount rate is 49% off sticker.

                    • SRU has signed former Akron WR Grover.

                      He had several MEC offers.

The fact that they have the most would indicate this isn't a vintage year for Pa. high school talent.

                        • Small college guys never got invited to Big 33, was always for the top recruits. Not enough to fill a roster now?

..but it’s in Loretto. Who wants to be in Loretto for four hours much less 4 years of your life.

There's always a handful, most are the better gets for the big 3 in the west. This year there was even a D3 recruit from Misercordia.

Sean Kerrigan picked as the long snapper. He is in the top 100 in the country and a four-star recruit, and the only long snapper that is ranked in the state of Pennsylvania.
