Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5): Only the Clarion-ettes could blow a 20+ point lead against a fellow PSAC doormat
Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven: Baldies make it close, but KUBs hang on to win in spite of iffy offense

Mount Union (-35.5) at Wilmington: Mount Union has allowed 16 points all season ... Wilmington either wins by a lot or loses like a lot

Well, it certainly wouldn't shock me, and I'm a Shippensburg fan. With Evan Falco coming on Saturday, we've now had four quarterbacks get a significant amount of snaps for the second season in a row — not exactly the formula for winning football.

Week 8

West Chester at Shepherd (-14.5) - The Swifties will easily win Ewe Fest 2023.

Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5) - The Willies can screw up this week and still win.

Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven - Despite the improvements..they aren't beating the Fighting Amish

Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst - LIT AF going for the Hail Mary Catholic School Cup and the Erie County Mistake By The Lake Cup at the same time. They will demand the Dixon Trophy if they do.

Millersville at Shippensburg - The Amish Pirates ship gets outsailed......

California at Slippery Rock (-7.5) - If there was a God, an asteroid would hit Butler County during this game....there will be a lot of points scored by both teams as defense will be a suggestion.

Bloomsburg at East Stroudsburg (-17.5) - Dennyball will cover easily...even if they win by 50...it wasn't on purpose.

IUP (-13.5) at Seton Hill - IUP going through the motions like a Republican married couple in the sack.

Charleston (-7.5) at Fairmont State - This won't even be close.

Pittsburg State at Northwest Missouri - Northwest Misery's demise is even more pronounced than IUP's. Their fans don't have to sandbag anymore.

Moravian at Juniata - I almost applied to Juniata until we drove through Huntington on the way home from visiting IUP.

Mount Union (-35.5) at Wilmington - A D2 elite program in D3 clothing.

West Chester at Shepherd (-14.5): I see WCU as a .500 ballclub, nothing more.
Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5): Blowing a 21-point lead doesn't do much for a program.
Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven: Honestly, I see this coming down to an end-game.
Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst: Both schools are in Erie, I'm told.
Millersville at Shippensburg: JC and Jeff Tomasetti make life even more miserable for their old boss.
California at Slippery Rock (-7.5): Still the best attack in the PSAC.
Bloomsburg at East Stroudsburg (-17.5): Probably a good line.
IUP (-13.5) at Seton Hill: Even in an off-year, a mismatch.
Charleston (-7.5) at Fairmont State: One team scored 52 Saturday. The other gave up 49.

West Chester at Shepherd (-14.5): Rams seem like a very different team than in September.

Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5): Would love to watch in person but I'll be stuck at Rock homecoming. John's Wildwood > Bob's Sub all day, every day.

Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven: Might take LH on the points if their QB1 was still playing.

Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst: All the money poured into these programs and they're not even the top priority men's program at their schools.

Millersville at Shippensburg: Morgan over Mac.

California at Slippery Rock (-7.5): Edinboro showed Cal can be held down when they start slow. Rock has a much, much better offense to make Cal pay for that slow start.

Bloomsburg at East Stroudsburg (-17.5): I have to admit I'm pretty impressed with Jimmy T.

IUP (-13.5) at Seton Hill: Oh boy.

Charleston (-7.5) at Fairmont State: Charleston in cruise control.

Pittsburg State at Northwest Missouri: Bearcats prove they can still hang but the Gorillas are back baby!

Moravian at Juniata: The president at Juniata has two degrees from Edinboro. Just saying.

Mount Union (-35.5) at Wilmington: Are they back?

Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5) - Golden Eagles turn in to pumpkins in second half on weekly basis.

Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven - Expect a TD bonanza after last week's FG festival. Bears cover in second half.

Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst - #LIT-AF drops the boom. Fo rizzle.

Millersville at Shippensburg - Famous message board poster Ship69 is next in line at QB.

California at Slippery Rock (-7.5) - The Viet Mon has lost 5 straight in series. That streak isn't going to end this weekend.

Bloomsburg at East Stroudsburg (-17.5) - This has a 55-14 vibe.

IUP (-13.5) at Seton Hill - Top WR in country will look to dazzle crowd of 71 people in Greensburg. However, Tort owns the Griffins. IUP gets a late cover after finding a way to keep game close for 3 quarters.

Charleston (-7.5) at Fairmont State - This was supposed to be -17.5 (typo). Call it a freebie.

Pittsburg State at Northwest Missouri

Moravian at Juniata - Tough place to play.

Mount Union (-35.5) at Wilmington - They have to be bored by now in D3.

I'm saving my outstanding athleticism for basketball in case it's needed. At close to 5-11 I'm actually taller than a couple of guys on the team this season, although I admit at 76 my three-point shooting is not what it used to be.

Week 8 Picks:

West Chester at Shepherd (-14.5) Chester is a good team but not a great team, they can keep up with Shep a little, but in the end Shep is better on both sides of the ball.

Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5) Leads aren't the only thing we blow!

Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven K-Town saves all their touchdowns from last week and ends with a final score of 63-3. Haven cries into their beers that night, such is life.

Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst Gannon is lowkey nice with it and is a very slept on team this year. Hurst should beg for Mercy.

Millersville at Shippensburg Ville has fallen off in the latter half of the season after their impressive start. Ships defense is kinda good, so this is gonna be a close one. The Shippensburg crowd is gonna need to be loud to get them over the top.

California at Slippery Rock (-7.5) All Hail Plankton. All Hail Plankton. All Hail Plankton.

Bloomsburg at East Stroudsburg (-17.5) Bloom will not cover. ESU keeps it rollin.

IUP (-13.5) at Seton Hill This season has probably hurt IUPs widdle feelings but don't worry, their last 4 games are absolute softballs down the center of the plate so they'll still go 8-3 in a supposed off year.

Charleston (-7.5) at Fairmont State

Pittsburg State at Northwest Missouri

Moravian at Juniata

Mount Union (-35.5) at Wilmington Mount Union should be D2 at this point

Week 8

West Chester at Shepherd (-14.5) - Very tough call. On the one hand, I think WCU is capable of keeping this close. On the other hand, they've been mistake-prone and Shepherd can capitalize.

Clarion at Edinboro (-7.5) - Clarion begins their limp to the finish after missing out on their last best chance for a PSAC win.

Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven - Kutztown must be itching to right the ship after a very close call.

Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst - Gannon should be able to light up the scoreboard against the worst defense in the PSAC.

Millersville at Shippensburg - Ville has hit the skids, and Ship has been playing teams tough. Should be a good game, with both teams desperately needing a win.

California at Slippery Rock (-7.5) - The big one. Cal should be motivated, which is dangerous. Rock will probably win, but I'll take the points.

Bloomsburg at East Stroudsburg (-17.5) - ESU has mostly done a good job of pulling away from teams it should beat.

IUP (-13.5) at Seton Hill - I can just imagine the scenes on this board if IUP loses this game. Make it happen, Stewies! Still not gonna pick ya, though.

Charleston (-7.5) at Fairmont State - Charleston looks to be a class above the rest of the MEC, will be a problem come playoff time.

Pittsburg State at Northwest Missouri - Pitt should win this game with ease, but NWMSU hasn't lost 4 regular season games since 2001! Would love to see it happen, hope this pick is wrong.

Moravian at Juniata - if not for Susquehanna, Moravian would be one of the favorites in the new-look Landmark Football Conference.

Mount Union (-35.5) at Wilmington - Mount Union has reached their ceiling. Wake me up when they join D2.

West Chester at Shepherd (-14.5)- Shepherd wins again. Defense is playing better, offense is keeping it mistake free. Too big of a line to cover, but they should hang on for the homecoming win. Looks like there will once again be some weather with the Rain as of now.

Kutztown (-13.5) at Lock Haven- Golden Bears marching to the state game.

Gannon (-7.5) at Mercyhurst

Millersville at Shippensburg- Should be a pretty good game. I think Millersville gets back in the W column and has been the more consistent team this year.
