From the account I read about the LHU Spring game, Falco was the star and appears to be the projected starter for '24.

I didn't think Falco was bad at Ship. They've been way too indecisive about the QB position the last couple of years at Ship. In fairness, injuries have had a lot to do with that. They need to pick a guy this year and stick with him for a few games provided, of course, that they can avoid injuries. Part of the problem has been constant turnover at o-line.

The 14 new additions feature talent at numerous positions. They include Kadas Reams (Temple University, wide receiver), Thomas Schultz (University of Delaware, linebacker), Cameron Clark (UNC Charlotte, offensive lineman), Jackson Ostrowsky (University of Rhode Island, quarterback), Kristen McAdams (University of Albany/Monroe CC, N.Y., wide receiver), Rhys McDonald (Florida Atlantic Unviersity, linebacker), KJ Howard (Ohio University, running back), Michael Schumacher Jr. (St. Francis University, wide receiver), Deshawn Evans (Notre Dame College, Ohio, quarterback), Jahmel Flowers (Virginia Union Univeirsty, defensive lineman), Nadir McLeod (Bloomsburg, defensive back), Jakai Boegerty (Bloomsburg, defensive back), Jake Yelton (Shepherd College, tight end) and Damir Green (Keystone College, running back).

On National Signing Day (Feb. 7), Lock Haven announced the addition of 42 new signees.

Losing McLeod was bad enough but having him transfer in the division to a team only moderately better than BU sucks. I thought he would at least go to a real contender for his final season.

If this guy transferred in from Shepherd College, he must be pretty old. It’s been “University” for 20+ years. :-)

That's (49) new players -- (14) transfers and (35) true freshmen. They had a gigantic freshmen class a year ago. They must have lost a good bit of them.

Regardless, the HC is doing some good things there. He's young(ish) and seems to relate well to this age group. That said, one more year and it's bye-bye Lock Haven. Greener pastures will come calling.

He had a WCU offer so I guess he choose Lock Haven due to easier path to starting.

That's (49) new players -- (14) transfers and (35) true freshmen. They had a gigantic freshmen class a year ago. They must have lost a good bit of them.

Regardless, the HC is doing some good things there. He's young(ish) and seems to relate well to this age group. That said, one more year and it's bye-bye Lock Haven. Greener pastures will come calling.

Their schedule is very tough in 2024. The East looks pretty well-balanced. The bigger thing is that LHU has cross-over games with IUP, Cal, and Gannon. So, his record this year will mean a lot.

With all these new players it's hard for opposing teams to know what to expect (and us fans, too). I'll tell you what, IUP had better not take them lightly.

I'd bet heavy $$$ that IUP's visit has been circled for months. That's their early statement opportunity.

I think people are still underestimating the potential and energy they have at Lock Haven. I don't think it's necessarily an easier path to starting at LHU over WCU.

They have 8 D1 transfers coming in. Who else has that? IUP has 1, a local kid transferring from St. Francis. IUP is saying with the new rules you can't get the D1 transfers and they are focusing on D2 transfers, mostly from other PSAC schools. SRU might have some D1 guys coming in, I don't know.

I looked for the guys from Ohio U, Temple, and FAU that were mentioned in the quote Bart posted on Sports-Reference/CFB. All three of them had pages but none of them had stats and the one from Ohio was listed as a WR instead of an RB.

I think the number is actually 42. Whatever, if you consider that they have somewhere around 50 new players coming in it still leaves 30-40 returnees. For sure, it is the program undergoing the greatest amount of change. Nobody knows the outcome but it should be interesting to watch.

I read it as 42 new players on signing day and just announced this month an additional 14 transfers. Total 56 I think.
