Looks like he got the job. "Evans spent his final year as a player with the Green Bay Packers, where McCarthy was the head coach, in 2017."

That's a huge feather for Bloomsburg AND the PSAC. If he can coach like he played, he'll have a great career!

New Orleans isn't happy because he was OL assistant coach for past 4 years.

          • In Evans' NFL days we got tons of Saints highlights as the Channel 28 news director figured a BU guy was local. And the highlights were always Drew Brees. Guy knew nothing about sports.

Then they should have moved quicker?

                            • Of the 24 signed thus far:
                              secondary 6
                              wide receivers 5
                              db or wr 1
                              LB 2
                              OL 3
                              TE1
                              DL 3
                              P/K 2
                              QB 1

No RB which hopefully says something about what is already there from the last 2 years.

                              • In an interview with Jim Doyle, HC Sheptock commented that the recruiting class increased in 6A and 5A high school players. Priorities were both lines and kickers. Two freshman kickers and one mid year transfer. Also looking at possibly a handful of May OL/DL transfers they're working on, and bringing in some more recruiting visits tomorrow. They are still recruiting and always looking.

They think one of 3 in-house QBs will surface as the starter next year, but after spring ball they will know if they need to go to find somebody in the portal for a year or two.

LBs everyone is back. WR in house in a really strong group with depth and size; they may not be Griffin-Batchler type playmakers but bigger and longer. In-coming recruits look good too and were attracted by last years passing success.

RBs will have Bo Sheptock showing up as a mid year player after committing last year.

Spring game is first Friday in April as of now.
