Yeah I get it since there is a little bit of homerism there.

    My honest opinions.

Central Washington upsets Western Colorado, UTPB blows out Bemidji.

UTPB then blows out Central Washington again and Mines blows out the Augustana/Minnesota State winner.

Mines blows out UPTB in the regional final.

I bring up the experience thing for PB in my column, but PB has won a bunch of different ways this season and Hrncir is a veteran QB. PB’s not a bunch of kids getting together for the first time-this is a team of mainly upper-class and transfer players.

CWU - which team belonged in their place? Pueblo? Duluth? As best as I know, Angelo was the number 8 team, so if anyone was going to get in that wasn’t CWU, it would be them. Better hope Volk doesn’t get another pick six or two.

(Update - I watched the preview, and there was some discussion about CWU's loss to Montana Tech, as I thought there would be. That being said, that NAIA team is actually an NAIA playoff team for what it's worth.)
I get the homerism there on the NSIC side.

I think the thought process is that Duluth deserved a spot since they finished 9-2 and were able to beat Minnesota State on the road last game of the season.

Also due to the unbalanced silo scheduling Duluth didnt play Augustana or MSU-Moorhead which finished at the top end of the NSIC standings.

Pueblo or Angelo didnt have any good wins.

Central Washington beat the defending LSC champion Angelo State.

Speaking honestly every team's ceiling this year in the region is advancing as far as they can before getting blown out by Mines.

Thanks, it has been fixed. Wonder if they had a different time earlier in the week or if I just mixed up the time zones.

This will be Hrncir’s 50th college start!

Listening to the NSIC broadcasts they think Central Washington doesn't belong in the playoffs and that Bemidji is coming to Texas with experience to beat UTPB.

Ironically enough 2 out of 3 of the NSIC playoff teams have losses to non playoff teams and recently have been getting their doors blown off the second round of the playoffs.

Good luck to the LSC going 2-0 this weekend and make it a Mines vs. Central Washington/UTPB regional final.
"the NSIC broadcasts"....? I'm the NSIC guy and AC was with me and he writes the RMAC Column. Details are difficult sometimes, I know.

You done trying to convince everyone that Angelo should've been in..?

I picked BSU as it's the one upset that I'm picking the bracket..but AC did not, he took UTPB. There's no doubt UTPB is a clear favorite and the numbers we displayed show that.

There's no doubt that CWU is clearly the underdog in this dance....when a team scores 25 a game and allows 23, you won't be a favorite come playoff time. I don't think anyone is writing them off tho..as we spoke to a path for them to win on our show.

What's funny is Pueblo or Angelo could've just lost to an NAIA team instead of losing to Grand Valley/Mines in close games and it would've helped them be in the playoff discussion more than they both were. Rather comical to think about.

Finally, it's game day...First kickoff is Virginia Union/Kutztown in Region 1 at 12:00 Eastern.

The two LSC games kickoff at 2:00 Eastern/1:00 Central/12:00 Mountain/11:00 Pacific

The D2Football Score page is fully armed and operational: https://www.d2football.com/scores/

Thanks to the NCAA D2 page, I found that there is a non-playoff, non-bowl game with a D2 team in it. Post plays Wagner at 12:00 Eastern. Clearly Post thought they could upstage the playoffs by scheduling this titanic matchup between almost-NE10 versus NEC teams with terrible records. Fun fact - Post is located about 10 minutes from where I grew up in CT, but I can't think of a single person I knew from high school who was interested in applying there.

                    Playoffs can't start soon enough!

Or they could have won against the teams that were selected

Permian TD called back for holding and Hrncir gets picked off. No score early.

CWU goes for it on fourth and 1 on their side of midfield and don’t get it.
