You obviously don't know the whole situation so this is a waste of time. Enjoy the temporary winning, fair weather fan.
Never said I knew the "whole situation", but it is an established fact that those two individuals are now at IUP. Ironic, isn't it?Last edited by gman16506; 06-02-2024, 10:42 AM.

[QUOTE=gman16506;n828518]Did you not know that Stevie P already had coaching ties to IUP? I bet you didn't. I'm sure Stevie P also thinks he can control Pickens now too. He better because if he doesn't, he'll be out of a job again!Originally posted by IUPalum View Post

[QUOTE=IUPalum;n828527]Yes. I was aware of that and I think it is an excellent situation for Pickens. As I said in a previous post, I only wish him well in his academic and athletic career. Hopefully, any personal issues that he may have are behind him as well.Originally posted by gman16506 View Post

I think IUP fans are going to like Pickens. He's going to fit well in to Joe's defensive philosophy.
The kid got in a fight (at age 18). We aren't talking murder or heavy drugs. The serious charges were all tossed.
Hoping for the best.

[QUOTE=IUPalum;n828527]Why would Steve put his job on the line for a below average Division II player? He must not think it's much of a risk.Originally posted by gman16506 View Post

[QUOTE=IUPalum;n828638]My hunch would be he figures get 2-3 under Joe and then maybe have a shot at a Clarion-type job.Originally posted by IUPHawks24 View Post
If you're Steve... why did he go back to a job that he *****ed about previous?
Or, he needed a job and Joe needed an assistant. The stars aligned.
All of that said, I've heard he did a pretty good job last year (especially given the mess they had).
As I've told you before, how Chucky isn't on that staff blows my mind. He would be an ace recruiter. He's extremely likeable, he played, he's young, etc.

[QUOTE=IUPbigINDIANS;n828643]Chucky is a good dude and has found some nice success with Emerson Fundamentals. I’ve enjoyed every interaction with him. It seems like he’d be a good fit from the outside looking in.Originally posted by IUPalum View Post

A name has surfaced for the (perceived) final scholarship roster spot. It's interesting. He's a former PSAC West player.
Hybrid G/F (would be a SF at IUP should he sign). Two years' eligibility.
This came from very close to the program so I'm not going to leak the name yet.
If this happens, he would likely be the opening night starter. He has numerous D2 offers as of right now but has ties to several IUP current players.
It's not Tomiwa or Pip.
