I haven't actually looked it up or anything, but I believe that this may very well be IUP WBB's most successful regular season in program history provided they win the last two.

Looks like IUP gals can clinch home court with a win over Boro on Wed. But you gotta watch that Stanley Swank. If ever there was a wily slickster---it would be him.

    Re: Iup basketball

It was the first time I've ever seen the IUP women just do anything they wanted against Cal. Modern era.

The first game IUP got in foul trouble. Yesterday Cal did.

It was one of those days IUP was hot and Cal wasn't near its normal self. Parsons was mentally shot over some calls.

Odds are they'll play again ... either in the PSACs or NCAAs.

Thirty points won't happen again ... but it was nice last night.

Tom owed them a little run-up dating back a few years.

Now a huge game looms on Wednesday night against Boro that could very well settle who gets to host the PSAC tourney on the women's side.

I believe the last time the IUP gals hosted a PSAC tourney was 2008.

What's going on in PSAC WBB? I've seen both Cal and IUP and one team isn't close to 30 points better than the other. And how on earth can the same Mercyhurst team that won against both Cal and IUP get blown out twice by Gannon?

I forgot. Edinboro announcers refer to him as 'enforcer'

Malik being back is huge! Big game on Wednesday against the Boro and they need the legit presence and athleticism on the floor against that team. A win against the Boro is huge as far as region rankings and such. Sorry Mr. Benton but your minutes are now gone!

IUP men win a tough one. As expected Cal gave a good fight. The bug news was Malik returned.

Dante had a really solid game. They beat the heck out of him but he kept going.

Cal got it tied somewhat late before IUP ran off a 16-0 run.

Most especially that one in the 2010 national semifinals against St. Cloud (I believe that was the team) from the corner right near the IUP bench at a crucial point. That was one fine shot. Quite a distance as well. They don't get any bigger than that!

    * Hutton has been in a shooting funk all year. The kid has never shot well.

    * Vaughns is still clueless on the floor but no one can argue how athletic he is. He won't see any meaningful minutes this year.

Jalen Vaughns surfaced last night. He got 13 minutes (3 points & 5 boards). Not sure if it was due to the opponent or if he's finally (officially) healthy. Regardless, he's big and fast and teams can't ignore him when he's on the floor.

Hitting 20 of 38 treys is impressive. From deep: Glover (7-12), Cobo (4-4), Dante (4-5), Hutton (1-8), Blake (4-8), Benton (0-1).

One concerning item: Ayron Hutton is really in a shooting funk. He was 1-for-9 from the field last night and has had several bad games in a row offensively.

That was obviously a terrible mismatch last night and nothing to really celebrate but it was good timing ... it should get the bad vibes out a bit.

Cal won't be a freebie on Saturday. The Vulcans have played IUP tough the past two meetings and have also been playing well as of late. Cal gave UPJ all it could handle this past Saturday and beat Mercyhurst last night. Cal likes to run. IUP can't run right now. Interesting underlying item: The last two Cal games, IUP has had giant second half leads ... only to nearly blow both of them.
