Re: Iup basketball
For the most part Joe has been reluctant to take the D3 game (thankfully). When you look at his normal non-conference schedule, it's all the more odd. Who knows. It could be as simple as they needed a date filled.
With the schedule he took this year (Concord, Virginia State, Bowie State, Fairmont State, Le Moyne) ... playing Westminster is what it is. It's an extra home date and better than no game. Ironically, Westminster came oh-so-close to beating Youngstown State last season.
IUP also gets no break in the crossover with all four East big boys -- Ship, East Stroudsburg, West Chester and Kutztown.
Toss in the usual suspects in the West and this is a very daunting schedule.
That opening weekend is going to be fantastic. I'm going to guess Malik Miller is drawing the big assignment in the Concord game.

End of that mystery. He was linked to IUP (twice) in the past after starting with Holy Family and then Lynn. He was linked to a few PSAC schools again this off-season.
Heck of a scorer. I'd guess the third team in three years thing scared several away this time around. I really thought he was going to land at SRU. Maybe next year.

If there isn't, does this change the Ulrich redshirt and perhaps move Humphries out to guard and Ulrich in to the post rotation?
I still tend to think we'll see another guard appear. There's been heavy action with late signings the past two weeks across the D2 level.
