    We had mentioned last week about Boro's Stanley Swank holding his job for 30 years or so which is amazing when you consider how the coaches of IUP WBB have been treated over the years----Thomas, English, Dow. That stuff was sad. That's why it's best to not be buddies with people. You lose too many people in a lifetime.

    ICH: That 1999 women's teams big star was center Melissa McGill. They were just well-balanced and pretty deep. They got knocked out in the Elite 8 in a real close game.

    The knock was their schedule. The rest of the MEC was very weak in women's basketball.

    That is just not the Cal WBB that I have been accustomed to seeing the past 15 years. A bit shocking to be honest. Always loved their program.

    But they'll be back I am quite sure.

    Keep in mind that MEC women's basketball isn't quite on par with the PSAC West.
