Both are over rated!!! Did Simpson cry again last night?

SRU up 33-30 at half. SRU 22-13 edge on the boards. Imagine if Meadville got a rebound.

The Lake Show must be hungover ... up just 4 at the half in Greensburg.

Don't know ... screen was spinning as usual watching this stooge production.

Wise should have got one right before the half.

Time to recover your Super Bowl losses. Here are tonight's lines.

California at UPJ - On the surface, you could look at the first meeting. The Mountain Cats smoked the Vulcans in the Angelo Dome. Times change. Pitt-Johnstown is just 3-3 in its past 6 outings. Taking the recent trend a step further, they've lost to every good team they've played over the past 3 weeks. California, on the other hand, is 8-1 since that UPJ loss. Turn to tonight and what we have is a real big game. Both teams sit at 11-4 in the West. The loser is essentially out of contention to win the division. The winner, for now anyway, gets a hold of that all-important, potential first-round bye. This meeting has every indication of being a shootout. Both can really score the basketball. Neither plays great defense. Reviewing the first games' boxscore, Cal shot an abysmal 6-34 from outside. That's not likely to happen twice. UPJ has won 9 of the past 10 meetings in the series -- including 4 straight. Very tough game to predict. The Vulcans' hot streak can't be ignored. California escapes Johnstown with a tight win. Vulcans -3

West Chester at Shippensburg - The Rams got their slump-busting, throttling of Mansfield out of the way. Things get real tonight. Are they back? Was it just a real bad stretch? We'll find out quickly. Shippensburg should be a pretty focused, fired up bunch tonight coming off its recent home loss to East Stroudsburg. The Red Raiders, fairly convincingly, took the first meeting. Talk about a rivalry? The score in the past 10 meetings in the series? Five wins each. A loss tonight could really start to put a damper on WCU's NCAA hopes. Add to it a red hot Millersville team on its tail. Expect a spirited effort from West Chester. However, expect a Shippensburg win. Red Raiders -7

East Stroudsburg at Bloomsburg - Back on Jan. 8, things were looking up for the Huskies. They had back-to-back wins over Shepherd and (at) East Stroudsburg. Then ... the bottom fell out. Bloomsburg has just one win since, and has lost 6 of their past 7 games. The Warriors ended a 4-game skid and have since won 4 of 5 outings. The Huskies may have won the first one ... but there's nothing pointing to a Bloomsburg sweep. Warriors get redemption. Big time. ESU -13

Clarion at Slippery Rock - The Rock has been blown out of two straight gyms - their own and Hamer Hall. Typically this is a stage when seeing Clarion coming to town is perfect timing. The Golden Eagles may have other plans. Clarion is playing well. It may not show in the win-loss column, but it isn't the pushover of years gone by -- especially in this second semester. The Golden Eagles also aren't a team SRU can try and physically push around. Clarion can push back. SRU has more talent. The question is where is the team mentally? Two losses by a combined 48 points can do some strange things to morale. The Rock also knows what awaits this weekend at the KCAC. If SRU isn't ready to go tonight ... the Rock is going down. Ready or not, here's the upset special of the night. Clarion leaves Morrow with a win. Golden Eagles -3

Millersville at Kutztown - The surging Marauders hammered the Golden Bears a month ago. The venue is different this time but the result will be the same. Make it 5 in a row for the 'Ville. Millersville -12

Gannon at Edinboro - The Golden Knights are hot. The Fighting Scots can't get this season over with fast enough. Easy result. Gannon wins. Big. Knights -19

Lock Haven at Mansfield - The Mounties aren't technically dead yet. Close, though. Lock Haven is clinging on to that last PSAC Tournament spot. The Bald Eagles hammered Mansfield the first time. The second time will be more of the same. Lock Haven -17

Mercyhurst at Seton Hill - It won't be pretty in the yellow shoe box tonight. The Lake Show has a new confidence. The Griffins are going to pay the price. Mercyhurst in a run-away. Lakers -24
