A couple nice games tomorrow. A couple not so much. The West should be a very vanilla day. The East has two big games. Both will go a long way in determining the East race.

        Shippensburg at West Chester
        - The East's top spot is on the line. West Chester enters having won 8 straight. Shippensburg got back on track with a beatdown of Mansfield. It's tough to win in West Chester and the Rams are the deeper team. WCU plays a physical brand of defense and can take the three-point shot away. Shippensburg's lack of size won't do it any favors in this game. The Red Raiders can't rely solely on the deep shot and will need to find an inside game against a big WCU post. WCU's weakness inside is they foul -- a TON. The Rams are likely flying pretty high after escaping East Stroudsburg with a huge win. WCU has too much in this one -- especially at home. WCU -5

        East Stroudsburg at Kutztown
        - This has become a 'must-win' for the Warriors. At their current 6 losses, time is not their friend. With the schedule that awaits them even beyond this game, the room for error is getting pretty small. Kutztown is technically still alive but has to win this game. ESU has been playing pretty well lately despite losses to Ship, IUP and WCU. They could have won all three of those games. Kutztown is too unpredictable. Good one night. Very average the next. ESU gets out of town with the win. Warriors - 7

        IUP at Clarion
        - There was a time that this was a big yearly game. That time has long since passed. Clarion has shown a couple glimpses of life this season. The Golden Eagles played Shippensburg tough and lost to UPJ by just a point. But, the majority of the season they've looked awful. They do have a couple good players. But, that's the root of the problem. They'd need more than a couple to beat IUP. Expect the Hawks to come out flying and spend the second half working on some new items. IUP - 18

        Mercyhurst at California
        - Cal plays hard for 40 minutes. No denying it. Playing Mercyhurst with 5 guys is about impossible. The Lakers' high-pressure defense will wear the Vulcans out. Lakers leave the Angelo Dome with a win. Mercyhurst -14

        Seton Hill at Pitt-Johnstown
        - Seton Hill has climbed out of the West basement and is in contention for a conference tournament spot. The Griffins head to Johnstown winners of their past two (at Bloom and at Cal). The streak ends there, however. With no inside game, Seton Hill is custom-made as the type of team UPJ thrives against -- especially at home. Mountain Cats put up a big number. UPJ -20

        Slippery Rock at Edinboro
Unless about 5-6 SRU players miss the bus, this won't be remotely close. Rock wins big. SRU -28

        Gannon at Millersville
        - Millersville is a tough out. The Marauders can score and defend -- and they're real tough at home. Gannon's pressure defense will cause them some issues, but the Golden Knights won't score enough to win. Millersville wins a fairly tight one. Marauders -5

        Cheyney at Lock Haven
        - Cheyney's Memory Lane tour continues. Similar result. Lock Haven -8

        Bloomsburg at Mansfield
        - Huskies get a much-needed win. Bloomsburg -18

Dow's termination at IUP went a whole lot deeper than him just yelling a lot. Some call it a witch hunt. I'll leave it at that.

Not exactly a glamorous lineup tomorrow in the the PSAC but there are some important games. While the top of the race gets most of the attention we often forget about the race for the conference tournament. There are also some bubble teams with difficult games. Slippery Rock and West Chester, while both favored, will have their hands full.

Mercyhurst at Edinboro: Unless the Lakers are already mentally in the KCAC, this will be UGLY. Mercyhurst puts up a big number. Lakers -25

IUP at Seton Hill: There may be a new coach in town, but in this one, he's inherited some old debts and bad feelings. If the opportunity presents itself -- and, it should -- look for Joe to run one up. Hawks win big. IUP -24

Clarion at California: Cal's lost 4 straight. Clarion's lost 5 straight. Somebody is going to win. It might be whomever stays out of foul trouble. Neither team has a bench. Vulcans -12

UPJ at West Chester: Likely one of the better games of the day ... recall UPJ hung a real big number on WCU in Johnstown last year. UPJ's main weakness is it isn't a physical team. West Chester plays tough and in your face for 40 minutes. The Rams are also much deeper. WCU -8

Kutztown at Lock Haven: Shippensburg fell in to a trap in Lock Haven. The Bears may, too. Predicting Kutztown this year is essentially playing Russian Roulette. KU -12

Slippery Rock at Gannon: There's some upset buzz surrounding this game. Gannon won't back down from SRU and will pressure the Rock in to a lot of bad shots. SRU's weakness is its transition game and Gannon should be able to tire them out in the second half. What will old John Reilly draw up? The Golden Knight offensive juggernaut has to score at least 68 to win this game. Not likely. SRU wins a dogfight. Rock -7

Millersville at East Stroudsburg: The Marauders enter on a tear -- winners of five straight. At 12-7, their record is so close to being more in the 15-4 range. It's a good a team. So is ESU. This game has major seeding implications for down the road. Millersville doesn't go away and can score in bunches from outside. ESU has to stay out of foul trouble. Warriors survive a tight one. ESU -3

Bloomsburg at Shippensburg: The Red Raiders are just 5-3 since the break and cannot afford another slip-up against a lesser opponent. Bloomsburg tends to either put up a tough fight or it gets blown out of the building. Take the latter in this one. Ship wins big. Red Raiders -17

Love all the IUP students crying on twitter because classes haven't been cancelled. The reality is that they will day drink, many outside, if classes are called. Hate to sound like the old 25 year old, but no employer will let you day drink because it's cold outside lol.

Mercyhurst at Edinboro is on. There is a blurb in the pop-up on their main site that says that athletic events will proceed as scheduled.https://www.edinboro.edu/

Gannon has also cancelled classes tomorrow. I haven't heard about the game ... the web site states that the "University will remain open." I assume the game is till on? I hope it is and I hope the Knights can outscore the temperature outside!
