He's only 17, too. Most high school athletes have a great improvement from 17 to 18 -- physically, mentally, etc. And, as you said, at the college level he'll be a spike in the wheel -- not the whole wheel. He won't be getting the hack-a-shaq treatment and constant double-teams, etc. Recruiting is a tricky business. How does he project in two years -- talent, body, etc. Pitt seems to want him pretty bad. I have to trust Capel obviously knows what he wants and sees a lot in him. The Blue Bloods aren't going to come calling for him but that next wave is very interested.
I wouldn't say Morris flopped out at Tennessee State. He went through a coaching change. It's common players leave during this process (full discclosure, Morris and 6 of his teammates all left at the same time). He also said he wanted to closer to home. And, his new team may have beat his old team. Just sayin' Whatever the reason ... we're sure real glad he's here. David is going to be a star at IUP starting next year. His role this year -- so far, anyway, is to be a distributing point guard. I'm guessing next season he moves back to his natural position for his final two seasons IUP.
