UPJ is ice cold but they did beat WCU head to head.

That 3 vs 6 is going to be a wild one. ESU has a good track record against Mercyhurst.

Third place team in PSAC West seeded ahead of CIAA Champions. I get UPJ's metrics love fest but those two could have been flipped in my opinion. Conference titles should carry some weight.

That UPJ game could get very ugly if their big guy doesn't play.

West Chester is probably better than UPJ right now, but with UPJ having the head to head win and playing the schedule they did, it’s the right call. Hopefully Kromka is healthy and they can give West Liberty a decent fight.

It really sucks IUP goes on break during the regional. The townies need to turn it up!

The townies fill the place all year (not the students). Business as usual.

Biggest difference on Regional weekend is they add a press row, full length of court, across from the benches. Also, no reserved seats. It's all general admission. The KCAC also cannot sell alcohol for these games per NCAA rules.

UPJ is the Firmont of last year. They will get pounded. WL got a first round bye.

UPJ has played three pressing teams this year -- and got blown out in each game. Their six-man rotation just doesn't work against those teams. You are correct. WL got a first-round bye. I just hope that game is either first or last. With the no re-entry I don't want to get stuck watching it if it's the second game. It's going to be ugly (with or without Kromka).

Hopefully it’s at capacity for IUP.

It can't be last. IUP's side of the bracket has the two late games. Always does. Hopefully it's first.

I think ESU vs Mercy is going to be must-see TV. Little known fact: the Warriors are Lakers' Kryptonite. They've beat Manchel 4 of the past 5 games. Their two stud bigs are going to cause Mercyhurst's smaller lineup all sorts of issues.

I'd say in order of Saturday entertainment:

                        1. ESU/Mercy - Warriors had their funk but they are very good. Mercyhurst is, too.
                        2. VU/FSU - VU won h2h in OT earlier this year. Very different styles. FSU bigs better be ready for a war.
                        3. IUP/WSSU - Likely closer than the game in November
                        4. WL/UPJ - If Kromka plays, it could be close for a half but UPJ will be gassed in the second half.

WSSU is getting a two week lay off to rest up. They'll be ready and aren't getting respected.

Interesting to note that these are ALL rematches. No one will be surprised by anyone in this region. It'll be interesting to see if any of the first-meeting losers (FSU, UPJ, WSSU, etc.) adjust and counter-punch here. Should be a very entertaining region as it always is.

ESU and Mercyhurst didn't play this year.

They did play last season, with ESU winning (in Erie) 85-72.

What's interesting is we saw a much different ESU against IUP this past weekend. They essentially tried to play IUP's speed and game. Will they do that again against Mercyhurst or will they play their normal up-tempo?
