one thing I know is Courtney Brown Senior played at SMSU. Don't think we're getting his kid.

Another legacy we lose out on. been a bunch in recent football - Hmielewski, Lance, and Winkleman just to start !

Though a different sport Carson Wentz's uncle played at Northern and NDSU standout receiver Ryan Smith's dad played at Northern, not the same but would have been nice, haha

This is probably correct. Mostly because he committed to UW-Milwaukee yesterday. Unless he doesn't fit there and transfers down in a few years. Then again, we're not all Mankato/St. Cloud. :)

Exactly. Let's revisit this list in 2-4 years when the Huskies and Mavs have had a 2nd chance :)

I find it hard to believe he ranks higher than Tyler Wahl (University of Wisconsin), for example. Unless Bennett is just the most under-recruited Minnesota kid in the last several years.

(No complaints if that's the case.)
Thanks, I missed that one. Will try to go through that list now.

Actually, I'm going to switch and use the Northstar Hoops rankings. Ryan James and the rest of that staff do great work. I had to update some commitments they didn't have in the system yet, so if there are some I missed let me know.

Wolves have received a commitment from Jaylen Robinson of Hamilton, Ohio

Does this mean Tommy said no? Moved on?

I did notice Legrand had his poster up in the BC so despite being a junior this must be his last year. I'm shocked a walk-on could make it this many years on the roster. Good for him

First of all welcome to the board tom4525, feel free to post often. Young Mr. Scharlau has a 1st name from 5-6 decades ago, I like it.

Thank you for the warm welcome!! Admittedly, I'm a big small basketball fan...as in D3, but I've been following D2 more lately. So, I'm been lingering the boards for awhile and reading posts, figured I'd throw my hat in the ring as well.

I posted a question about former Northwest Missouri State signee Drew Blair on the 2018 recruiting thread without a response. I still don't know why he left NMSU before ever stepping on the court for them, but I have heard recently that it's very likely he ends up at UM-Duluth. I'm assuming since he signed scholarship papers with NMSU, that he will have to sit a year before becoming eligible for Duluth. I think this is a big get for Coach Wieck, Blair can really score the basketball.

The short, nicest way I can put it: he couldn't cut it in preseason workouts. Infer from that what you will. Very disappointing for NW but better now than to find out during games.

Without knowing much of what happened at NMSU, I figured it was one of 2 reasons....it was a little eye opening the level of players his teammates were or he got homesick. So, your response isn't a shock and you're right that its better for NMSU to find out this early and to be able to recruit to fill in whatever needs they expected Drew Blair to fill later on.
