I hope Coach K proves (quickly) that AD Jerry Hughes made the right pick when he hired Coach K. The coach deserves a chance to make it work, but I'm just not seeing any sign that the Mules basketball program is headed in the right direction. I see more years of frustration and we'll just become a middle of the pack team and I guess that will be okay with Jerry. To my knowledge, Jerry has never fired a head coach during the 30 or 40 years he's been the AD. I like Jerry and he's brought in some great coaches, but in my mind it's time for Jerry to retire. He's probably pushing 70 and he's got a low pressure job and at this point he's just clipping coupons. It's time for a younger AD with new ideas and new energy, but who am I kidding, Jerry's got it made and he's not going anywhere.

Central Missouri signee, Forward Gavin Pinkley looks like he was a heavily recruited D1 prospect; counted 13x D1 offers on Verbal Commits. Great pickup by Coach K. Only high schooler in this signing class.

Appears this year, that Coach K is adopting the Coach A recruiting philosophy - load up on transfers and pickup the occasional HS stud

Coach A is way ahead of the curve on this one....Coach K will have a lot of catching up to do. Prediction - Coach A and the Gorillas will curb stomp Coach K's Mules for the next few years.

Interesting thought from FightnMulz about whether Coach Anderson would consider returning to UCM at some point.

2019 G/F Logan Benson (6-5) of Ellsworth has committed to NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State. First-team all-Middle Border Conference player as a junior when he averaged 16 ppg and 11 rpg.

I'm looking for more lists, I dont know how accurate this is but it is something. Just wanted to use it to reference and put together some sort of recruiting class rankings over time

I'll try to go through that list and update what I know over the next few days. Currently packing for a trip. I will say that roughly the first 10 or so are going D1. I believe Beeninga to MSUM is the top NSIC signing in Minnesota so far. Fink to Augie.

#9 is going to NDSU, though I feel he is better suited for D2. Beeninga is the only other one I knew off hand, other than Jaeden King, just thought I'd let Simple bring that one up, ha

Tommy Chatman #19 is going to NSU this weekend. He has received a lot of interest from all levels

If you're referring to the list NSU4LIFE just posted, Bennett Otto would be the highest-ranked NSIC-bound kid (Augie) at #8. But this might be an older list or something. I find it hard to believe he ranks higher than Tyler Wahl (University of Wisconsin), for example. Unless Bennett is just the most under-recruited Minnesota kid in the last several years.

(No complaints if that's the case.)
