Vikings have a strong recruiting class coming in, there will most likely be growing pains this season, but should pay dividends in the future. Also, great hire by HC Billeter in Assistant coach Cody, "Spice" Schilling.
This teacher gives you an "A" for that!

In my opinion, if Moorhead is going to keep improving they need Baumgartner to make a leap. He is by far the most talented player they have. I get the "team" aspect that the Dragons seem to strive for (very similar to the 2018 Wolves), however when the offense stalls he needs to be the one taking shots. Ian Smith was that player in 2018 for NSU and he was the one that took over during the run to the championship game. Last year, any time someone not name Baumgartner took a shot it was a win for the NSU defense. He is an All-American type talent and I don't even think he made All-Conference last year because he deferred too much.

Last year was basically a redshirt for everyone. For some programs, like NSU, this allowed players to transfer out and still have an extra year of eligibility at their new school. But, any new transfers in do as well. Figuring out exactly how many years any player has left is going to be confusing for the next few seasons. Some players may decide to not take the COVID year if they already redshirted for a season.

The NCAA did not consider 2020-21 as a countable year for eligibility. The 4 seasons in 5 years clock stopped.

Still, the decision was left up to the players. For example, at SMSU Weston Baker Magrath and Nick Dufault played last year and moved on, while on the women's side most of their senior group from last year is back again.

Augie has 7 seniors (6 who play significant minutes), 2 juniors, and a bunch of freshmen and a redshirt freshman. No true or redshirt sophomores, which is weird in its own way.
