Incredibly impressed tonight. Can't imagine this weekend going much better than it did other than Rusty getting hurt. Hopefully he comes back soon. But having other guys step up was just what we needed. Next stop Knights Hall

Yes a great game. Scotty said in the post game radio comments that Weyer would start individual instruction on Monday and may see the court soon. Taylor's back spasms are better and he expects Rusty back as well. There seems to be better chemistry than last year and when we get healthy and at full strength, this team will be tough to handle.

Starting to feel more optimistic about where things are headed for the Knights after this weekend. A key to success may be our ability to go as close to "injury free" as we can for the rest of the season. I am just a little bit worried that some of these injuries may be the kind that become "nagging injuries" that reoccur during the season. I'll be at Knights Hall Wednesday.

You guys should be impressed and looking forward to this year. You had a wonderful exhibition of team basketball this weekend with Saturday being a prime example of team is more than just one or two players. I have never been a fan of Scotty's attitude and his tendency to berate and embarrass players, but he does put together a team that plays well. What may be the best part of your team's growth may actually be sitting on the bench at KWC; a player with unique skills who hasn't learned to use them in a team environment.

Good luck with the rest of your season and a special hello and 'good luck' to Chance and her team!

Very impressed with Bellarmine's wins this weekend, especially considering you all were missing your All-American. BU, in my opinion, seemed to be the most well rounded team competing. Very much looking forward to seeing Drury play in Knights Hall, but until then good luck

Very proud of the Knights. (Really should be 4-0, but don't want to be an ingrate). 3-1, considering the schedule and injuries, is very good. I am optimistic about our ability to win at home. Throw in a couple of tough road wins and the season could be memorable. Adam Eberhard has been so impressive improving the areas this team needed from him. Early in his sophomore year, he may end up as one of the schools best all time players. Amazing comparison between him and Derksen. In every athletic sense, Derksen is superior, and yet in four games of his sophomore year, Adam has four games better than anything Derk has done. The difference is coachability.

Speaking of Eberhard, here's a nice piece that the Evansville newspaper recently did on him (think it was written by that fellow who has posted here a few times):

I think I said Three time All American and POY in 2017-18. Might have to move that POY up a year!

The difference is their mindset. Eberhard is all about what he can do to improve the team. As we all said here before the beginning of the season, he needed to improve his rebounding and three point shooting. Well that is exactly what he did and how! Derk is just worried about how many points he can score. I'm not saying that in he is totally selfish, its just that scoring more points is the way he thinks he can help the team. That's all he knows.

It is amazing that BU is 3-1, especially after the big win over Huntsville who turned around and utterly whipped LMU who I thought was going to be the best team in the country. The Florida Southern win was expected, as FSC is not that good, but to do it so easily and without Rusty and 3 other players who will see major time is impressive. Get those four back and healthy and this team might do something special.

If there is any question about the injured players playing tonight, I kind of hope they don't play. Ohio Valley was about a 40 point loser to Walsh, SVSU and Hillsdale, so I doubt that they will provide much of a game, even if Troutman, Weyer, Ramser and Taylor do not play. If Taylor is able, it would be nice for him to get a few minutes under his belt. The game may actually be more interesting if Troutman does not play.

I am still very anxious to see Weyer play. It's only conjecture on my part, but I suspect that a healthy Weyer could make a huge diference to this team. Coach needs to be more patient than the fans, however. No need to wreck a guys playing career trying to play him before he is adequately healed. Something tells me that there is no way Weyer is going to play pain free this season, so then it becomes a medical question about whether he needs to be pain free in order to play. Some kids would jump at the opportunity to play in pain, but everyone needs to rely on the doc to say whether that is a good idea or not.

I agree on that one. Wish it were a game that could help us regionally but it seems more like a tune-up than anything. I would like to see the banged up guys at least get a couple minutes to know they're on their way back to the court full-time but only if they have little risk of re-injury. I'm hoping for about ten solid minutes from the starters and then some bench guys get good minutes because we are going to need our bench to play well all year. Glad to see them back in Knights Hall though. Excited to watch them live.

My gut feeling is that we won't see any of the injured guys and not much of the other starters. Hoping for a cakewalk, but it will be nice to have a home game in any event. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Not much of a game tonight. Rusty T. was moving ok, but he was definitely sub par. Maybe they should have just rested him. The rest of the team was enough to beat Ohio Valley by 30+ points. It was good to see Al Davis with a shooting touch. Coles and Bach looked good, Cook looked like he can be counted on to grab some boards, but he, along with others, had too many turnovers. Good to see Willie Schurfranz have a good game. I am partial to the DeSales guys.

Tricky little road trip coming up. By all measures BU should not have any problems with UIS and McKendree, but there is always some unpredicatability when they go on the road. Its impossible to tell what kind of team UIS will be on a given night. They usually have some talent although they are out of shape and not disciplined. McKendree, is the real wild card, after beating Illinois-Edwardsville in an exhibition. Edwardsville may really suck but they are D1(why they did that, I don't know!) The main issue though will be BU's health. As BGrad1971 said, Rusty looked to be moving ok against Ohio Valley but played probably the worst game of his career. Hopefully, he is back up to regular strength. Would like to see Weyer and Taylor in there to get some reps against lesser competition to get ready for LMU and the tougher conference schedule. Just like to see Ramser back after that concussion. Never know how bad that can be.

McKendree is a little bit of a mystery at this point. They may be better than usual. They did lose in overtime to Trevecca in Nashville, and considering that Trevecca lost by almost 40 to Truman, that looks like a bad loss for McKendree. Their other loss was relatively close to Lincoln, which looks like a pretty good team. The exhibition win over ISU-E, certainly makes you think that Mckendree is capable.
