I don't know if it's too abnormal. I think it is pretty clear to anyone who watches the games that the MIAA and GLIAC and the GCS are a step above every other conference in the country. There are some weird ones in there, though. I don't know about Truman over Newberry, Harding over Shepherd, Ashland over IUP, and I certainly don't think UNK could hang with UWF, let alone also beat Delta AND Angelo. That UNK run is baffling, even by Massey MIAA standards. That would be one of the most incredible playoff runs ever.

Yes the vast majority of D2 isn’t NW Misery or Ferris Bueller State. The Haves are literally the exception at this level. In the past it meant they moved up.

I’m not complaining about the same schools winning everybyear. I’m complaining about their fan bases who whine that certain Regions shouldn’t get playoff spots because the bottom feeders of the leagues they dominate don’t get playoff spots. If they aren’t beating youse in the regular season they aren’t beating you in the playoffs either..

Why doesn't IUP move up because of their basketball team? It's almost like "moving up" has nothing to do with 1 or 2 sports' success.

But the middle of the better conferences will beat the playoff teams from worse conferences.

Yea, that was a big surprise the first time I ran it through, so I did it again. I don't think UNK could make that run in reality.

I'm aware but wanted to stay with the Massey Matchup theme to see where it would lead. The end result was predictable but some of the earlier results were head scratchers, especially UNK.
I was going to use the Versussportssimulator to see how much different it would be but didn't want to pay for the subscription.

I was surprised that the IUP tuition was comparable to The MI AA schools. With the cost of living being higher, and teacher salaries being higher, I assumed tuition and housing would be higher. Maybe they get more state monies??

Prove it. You can’t so it’s just more dick wagging.

Send your mid pack teams to IUP or Shepherd and let’s see how they do. Put up or shut up. The MIAA plays an all conference schedule. How would anyone know how well their never going to win the conference title teams do against anyone?

The fact is that it is getting rare that teams travel far out of region at this level in the regular season which is why the regional setup will stay in place and our Region is going to get its 7 slots whether you like it or not.

How is that possible? Pennsylvania is among the highest tuition for public schools in the US. IUP only gets about 25 percent of its operational funding from Harrisburg. To call it a public school these days is a stretch. When I was there it was 75 percent.
