  • Shepherd at IUP ... if it stands ... is a very attractive Round 1 game.

Long way to go, however. Those pesky Scots are in town tomorrow.

    • Cal has no chance, even if the beat West Chester 50-0, will that be their first win against a team above .500??. Look out for Hillsdale, yes they have a couple of bad losses; but if they win their next two, they will get a big SOS boost,( Tiffin & Ohio Dominican) and let's remember they only have to get to 9th in rankings.

Mercyhurst likely finishes the season 6-5. With their three losses coming to teams that likely have a combined 2 losses between them at season's end, they are solidly in long-shot territory as one of the higher ranked 3-loss teams. The big thing working against them is that they have to get into the top 6 of the rankings, which means a lot of teams ahead of them need to lose. If Assumption wins out, Cal has no chance.

Hillsdale could theoretically get a boost if they win out, but I don't think they're actually any good this year, so I don't see them beating both Tiffin and ODU. But hey, weirder things have happened.

Been some great IUP/Shep games in the playoffs, would be a good one I'd hope!

The playoff criteria was applied very consistently with every school having the same set of hurdles to jump. But only six teams were able to successfully clear them.

Your conclusion isn't supported by the rest of the facts shown in the table above. IUP's SOS is 2nd worst among the teams listed. You're grudge isn't affecting anyone but you...Want some Tums?!

PS There's no such thing called IUP Earned Access, but stick to your story...

The 2 highest rank teams in 2006 played each other for championship. Bloom won. So it worked out.

The best part is CWPost was next on the list.

WHY THE F ARE WE TALKING ABOUT SOS IN 2006?

                      Because Nation holds grudges, apparently.
