Well, I will make sure to include them at least once this year in the Pick 'Em.

SCI Greene opened in 1993 and remains active; it's located outside Waynesburg at I-79 and PA 21.

Could you possibly be thinking of SCI Greensburg (which closed in 2013)?

        I found the reference.

Speaking of Kobe, his dad, Joe Bryant, passed away. He was only 69. Sheez.

            • For the benefit of those who hadn't heard of Waynesburg, I just read somewhere today that Mason Miller, the All-Star relief pitcher for the Oakland A's, is a Waynesburg graduate.

On a side note, the town where I live was once named Waynesburg, but there turned out to be more than one of those in Pennsylvania, which complicated things for postal delivery. So our town became Waynesboro, which it remains today.

The A's also just drafted Seton Hill's ace in Rd 17 this week.

                • This is big news. I'm not sure what to make of the guy, but he was the first chancellor to effectively advocate for more funding.

Wow! Shouldn't be surprised, I guess. He wasn't going to retire there.

I suddenly have this great appreciation for the guy. His departure makes me kind of afraid, at this point in time.

                      • Who knew that Harrisburg University (if you had even heard of them) had two international campuses - one in Panama, the other in Dubai? Not this guy. Anyway, they're struggling.

If you lived in the Harrisburg region you certainly would have heard of them. They started a video gaming team a couple of years back and that team probably got more coverage in two months than Ship or Millersville football usually gets in two years.

                              • Is it safe to say that colleges got too diversified in it's degree offerings?

College should exclusively be a classroom/Apprenticeship experience these days.

When you graduate, you should already have some professional work experience under your belt.
