Did Hunter tear his ACL?

I don’t want to speculate on the details but they had to carry him off the field and into the tent. When he came out he was wrapped with ice and on crutches. They then put him on the cart and took him to the locker room. He did watch the second half on crutches but having seen this too many times to count, it didn’t look good. He’ll be headed for an MRI and maybe more will be known by the next Hawk Talk.

IUP needs to decide who QB2 is and get him ready.

I’m sure we’ll spend plenty of time breaking down the disaster of today’s game, but you have to feel for Karst Hunter. I heard someone say his family drove 19 hours this week to see him play at IUP for the first time. Based on how they treated the injury, I don’t see any way this kid takes another snap this year. I’m guessing there’s less than a 50% chance he takes another snap in an IUP uniform.

Remember that talk about what would happen if Hunter went down? It just became real, and we all saw what it looked like. Yikes!

Ship is just a weird team this year. They can play competent football for a decent length of time and then all of a sudden look as if they've never seen a football. Obviously, the bad has outweighed the good so far. Probably have to look back a ways to see the last time they started 1-5.

But use it anyway. Now you can be more critical than we’d nirnky be if they were winning despite the issues

As a Philadelphia sports fan who has seen our city take countless gut punches in sports, it’s easy for me to process the disappointment.

I'm in my local sports media. I can tell you that they will have more broadcasting opportunities being neutral announcers than homer announcers. They're getting game tape for a potential career right now.
