For instance, since 1951, IUP played Cheyney 8 times and Mansfield 2 times. Slippery Rock played Cheyney 4 times and Mansfield 7 times.
Now, once crossovers became mandatory (and remember in the late 90s-early 2000s the crossovers were based on previous seasons' records), Clarion and Lock Haven had more games against those two, but the more successful teams didn't see Mansfield and Cheyney that often.
Not their fault, but East teams had them on their schedules every season.
