Last one I remember (on the local scene) was when Robert Morris brought in Alderson Broaddus -- and lost.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post
They're paying Edinboro LOL
Luckily for Bobby Mo, most Yinzers have never heard of AB and likely didn't put two and two together (being a D2 team).

Most Yinzers have never heard of most schools in the NEC (or now the Big South).Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post

Not so sure about that, the Dukes lost by a touchdown to a Stonehill team that needed overtime to squeak by Bloom. A Bloom team that had its struggles last season. This could be interesting, I will certainly be checking this one out.Originally posted by Iupgh View PostNo way, Duquesne by 4 touchdowns.

Well, we get the Shepherd, West Chester, Kutztown things most seasons. After all, they are in our division. But adding Newberry and IUP to the mix outside those games makes it more of a murderer's row. Millersville is finally starting to see the results of some decent recruiting. Some of the younger Ship players who showed potential last year are going to have to step up, and the offense needs some big-time improvement. It also would help if the QBs stay healthyOriginally posted by ctrabs74 View Post
Good news: at least in that stretch, you have Seton Hill (Week 2) and Bloomsburg (Week 4).
Bad news: after that stretch, you have a Millersville team (Week 8) that could prove to be a sleeper team in the PSAC East given how they finished the season with five wins in their last seven games. And The Powers That Be in Lock Haven didn't do Ship any favors by having Shepherd, West Chester and Kutztown in back-to-back-to-back weeks.

Ship coming off an 5-6 campaign and losing a few players to the portal like Ian Sheehan & Khalid Dorsey playing a top 15 program in Newberry to open the season is quite a task. Newberry graduated their 3/4 of their top receivers & QB but bring back leading rusher who will be just a junior and ran for 156 yards per game last year. Ship's defense will be tested early with their run heavy offense for sure.

I liked some of our young players on defense last year, and it looked as if that had the potential to become a good unit, if not this season perhaps next. I am worried about the offense. The o-line was mostly frosh and sophomores last year, so it could be improved. None of the three freshmen QBs got to show out for a full season last year, so that is still somewhat up in the air. Someone has to take charge. Losing Sheehan and Dorsey won't help. I'll be surprised if Ship is at all competitive with squads such as Newberry and IUP. If they are, it's a good sign.Originally posted by shipfbfan1 View PostShip coming off an 5-6 campaign and losing a few players to the portal like Ian Sheehan & Khalid Dorsey playing a top 15 program in Newberry to open the season is quite a task.
