If they do you won’t need viagra for a while…

Did they have to rent an extra bus this week to carry the huge IUP chip you carry around on your shoulder?

I imagine your coaches and players felt like they had it won last year and will be fired up come Saturday. IUP better be ready.

I hope our luxurious press box makes you comfortable. :-)

Still here. Bloom has a new offensive coordinator this year. Despite the loss I thought we moved the ball pretty well. Last year we had 8 games decided by 8 points or less. If we can convert some of those close losses to wins, a winning season isn't an unreasonable expectation.

For the record, I'm pulling for IUP to win the west, so we don't have to play them in the final week. If Shepherd wins the east, we'll play Murcyhurst, If Kutztown wins, we'll play Slippery Rock, if West Chester wins we'll play Clarion.

So I'm pulling for an IUP vs Shepherd/West Chester State Game.

Speaking of West Chester, have you seen their new helmets? Very similar to LSU. Anyway, 'till next time...

Good to see you on board. After witnessing our offensive display in the opener, I'm thinking it would be nice if the IUP game were optional for Ship. I hope to see some improvement this week.

I'm thinking it would be nice if IUPNation was optional. LOL (kidding Nation, kidding)
Seriously, IUP win the west. That last game is the only one I can attend.

Viagra,? I'm not nearly as old and feeble as you...

If you need 4 tries to top my line, and fail on each one, you should go back to insulting gym teachers.

It's getting tougher to remember that not all that long ago Ship vs. Bloomsburg was one of the big games in the East. The 49-42 Ship win over Bloom at Seth Grove Stadium during Zac Zulli's Harlon Hill year was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen in person. I'd like to see both programs get back on track, but both still seem to have a ways to go. And in the transfer portal era it's a lot harder to rebuild than it used to be.

                I was all net.

Must not be that easy. He hasn't been able to stop personal fouls on his kick teams in 7 years.

I can't even watch them punt. I close my eyes.
IUPbigINDIANS - Is IUP is still using that wide formation for their punt formations?

First of all, Shepherd did have some defenders out of the game. I hope they get them back quickly. Even then, the defense wasn't horrible, but they got tired due to the many 3-and-outs by the offense.

Shepherd's special teams played well. Myles Greer needs to handle as many of the return duties as possible going forward.

Now to the offense. Oh, how you have changed. Shepherd has had a tremendous run of QBs from Jeff Ziemba to Connor Jessop to Tyson Bagent. I don't want to write off Seth Morgan after one game, because he did show a few good things. He has a good arm and can throw the deep ball. However, being a good QB isn't just about chucking it deep. Morgan needs to work the underneath much better. Sometimes, check downs turn into first downs. I also won't lie. I am not a football coach, and I can tell when Shepherd is running certain plays, especially a WR screen. If I can tell, I am sure that opposing coaches can tell. Maybe a few new looks are needed? Or maybe I been watching Shepherd play for so long in McCook's offense that I just recognize a lot of it.

Anyway, I was impressed with the final drive. I had no faith in Shepherd's offense before that drive. And it started poorly with an initial lack of urgency. Then, Morgan stepped up and made some throws. As much as I have criticized him, he balled out with the game on the line.

Hopefully things will look better next week. Shepherd may be more of a work in progress than I initially thought.
Disappointed with the body language displayed by Morgan throughout the game. Reaction many times was palms up or slumped shoulders.

Not sure. Ever since 2021 I don't watch them punt.

Lol but true. I check scores on my phone until it's over.

The punt team was so bad it stole the spotlight but the kickoff coverage team wasn't much better.

Let's just pray the special teams didn't go live much during camp and that was a fluke night.

I can't take the personal fouls much longer. I get those are typically the more 'lit' kids and all, but it's so senseless ... year after year after year. It will cost them a game this year.

There definitely needs to be improvement. The thing that I have to remind myself is that Shepherd just had an NFL caliber QB. No matter who they got, it was going to beat bit of a downgrade in that position. Let's face it, your not going to get NFL QBs in Division II very often.

I'll also say that the pass protection also needs to improve, but it also shows how Bagent's quick decision making was so valuable. He negated many pass rushes just by being able to get the ball out quickly.
