Who would have ever thought that both LHU and IUP would be playing for a winning overall record this Saturday? Just a couple of articles here. Jack Fisher, who coached LHU in their PSAC championship season of 1979 and the last winning seasons for LHU, passed away last week. A lot of his former players, the "Gray Eagles" got together a few years ago to support the program and may have been the catalyst for what is happening now. His obit below. Also, a good article from the LH newspaper today. I'm rooting for the Bald Eagles this week.

Let nobody kid themselves -- what Mulrooney has done at Lock Haven is no easy task. I can't see anyone else being PSAC Coach of the Year. (Although I think they only award by divisions.)

They have flipped the culture to the point where they're going to be solid going forward.

Awesome year and he deserves COY honors if I had a vote.

I was looking at next year's schedules out of boredom and noticed that LH has about as hard of a schedule as they can possibly get to open 2024. IUP, Cal, Shepherd, and Kutztown are 4 of their first 5 games. Will be interesting to see if they can keep the momentum going.

Further, it will be interesting to see if the HC is still there.

Heard from friends who were planning to go, locals are saying the game is sold out

Anyone who isn't impressed by what Lock Haven has done, just doesn't know football. What a great season for them. Will the coach be around for the long haul? Who knows? But right now, he's my COY.

True enough. Any guy who's gotten it done as he has at Lock Haven is going to raise eyebrows. The question, of course, is if they can sustain the momentum, especially with what looks like a tough opening schedule next season.

Wonder if the walk-ons come poaching.

when you think about someone who's now a proven program builder at 2 stops and now somewhat connected to the area....RMU could be interesting if things unravel after this week.

Dude at RMU is toast. Tomorrow is irrelevant.

I'd rather have the IUP/SRU job than Bobby Mo any day of the week.

Can I ask IUPbigINDIANS why is Robert Morris such a bad job? Is it because the many D-I schools in the state that it is almost impossible to bring in actual D-I talent there?

Forget about that part and think about it in terms of him being a younger guy with a family who’s probably making about 85-90K in the middle of nowhere instantly moving to 160K living 20 minutes from downtown Pitt. What would you rather do?
