It could be worse. Developing an OOC rivalry can be good.

I don't recall - did anyone in the PSAC have Notre Dame scheduled?

Notre Dame was scheduled to play Ohio Dominican week 1 so I highly doubt it

Well now that clears ODU for someone.

A Cal vs ODU game would be good for both programs

Apparently CAL U is still looking for a home/away series in '24-'25. GLENVILLE ST seems most likely but they're also looking for home away. Seems like a natural if one side will give up a home game in '24. Time will tell.

Cal -ODU series a few years ago was nice, resign that gig again. Excellent OOC game for both schools.

Not that it's always accurate but the D2 OPEN DATES list has nothing available listed by ODU. In fact, SR1 teams listed are only--Wheeling '24-Wk 0/1; Charleston '24-Wk 0/1; Thomas More '25-Wk 1/2 and '26 Wk 1/2; AIU '24 Wk 1. And of course the matching needs for CAL and GSC if they can work out the home/away issues
CAL/ODU played H/A with both home teams winning tough, close games. Given the VULCANS generally easier schedule in '24, this would be the time for a game, but the PANTHERS appear booked.

Glenville State is already scheduled to play Lock Haven in Week 1.

Oops, D2 Open Dates still has the GSC posting....not surprised.

I believe this website uses that like a job board. School requests their opening to be posted. Probably stays up there until someone says to take it down, so if ODU just learned they need a game, they probably haven't asked Brandon to post an opening. Or they're just scrambling on their own.

Does the recently-inked July fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson count as some sort of non-conference match?

No but the whole spectacle of it is ludacrith.

Mike can probably go one round. That's his only shot. He'll be 58 in July when the bell rings.
