Lady Buff BB did a tune-up scrimmage this morning with refs. Coach has been bringing in a team of WT guys to play the girls on a regular basis. The guys are all about 6' and talented. One guy his 9 treys in the 1st half. I had to leave at half-time and the guys were ahead 52-50. Coach told me girls lost by 8.

Lady Buff BB will be at least a Sweet 16 team. Maybe much better. They play an exhibition game in Tucson Wed against U of Arizona. Then the 31st against Oklahoma. I'm going to Tuscon for the game on the 25th.

Probably the most balanced team Wt has had in several years. Of the returning girls, Holly is the most improved. Our new point guard, Grace (transfer from UTEP) is an upgrade at that position
and has extended shooting range. Bree, a Red Shirt Freshman, will probably be first off the bench. UTA transfer Bella (6-3 Post) adds much-needed depth to the front line We will find out more
with the exhibition games. I'll be going to the OU game.

I like their defense against ENMU.

ENMU's defense isn't great, so if WT can get some drives together, I like their chances.

I know the MIAA commissioner is pushing to recruit more schools. No leads on who, though.

I hope it is true. WT has more in common with MIAA schools than the current LSC schools. If wt feels that D2 is where they belong then join the best D2 conference.
