MSU scores two late last minute goals to tie, then wins in OT over Bowling Green to win the WCHA 3-2.

Mavs get the 3 seed- SCSU 1, UMD 2, UMass 4.

West- SCSU v American International U, Denver v Ohio State in Fargo

Midwest- UMD v Bowling Green, Quinnipiac v Arizona State in Allentown. No, Allentown really isn't located in the Midwest.

East- MSU-Mankato v Providence, Northeastern v Cornell in PROVIDENCE!

Northeast- UMass v Harvard, Clarkson v Notre Dame in Manchester, NH.

For a couple of weeks, it looked like the Mavs would be in Allentown but Duluth ruined that. No matter, I'll be cheering on the Mavs.

Well, the tournament starts today! Gotta be a Mankato fan along with being an American International fan since AIC has a kid from our local hockey/High School program rostered as a freshman D!

And for what it is worth, I cannot cheer for the Hussies. I have never been treated as poorly as I was at a St. Cloud State game as a visiting fan. And I have been to quite a few road games following the Beavers.

UMass looks like by far the better team but they are only ahead 1-0 after two. Denver and Ohio State are scoreless after one.

Denver gets a late goal in the 2nd, then an empty netter to beat the Buckeyes 2-0.

Now to cheer, cheer against Notre Dame..............

Clarkson and Notre Dame will need overtime in the Northeast Regional semifinals. Tied 2-2 after regulation. Clarkson will start OT on the power play after a full intermission.

American International stuns St. Cloud State 2-1 in the West Regional semifinals. The Huskies lose in the first round as the No. 1 overall seed for the second straight season.
