Last score I could get was 57-48 IUP with 16:11 left.

Wise picked up his third foul early second half.

    Synopsis:

UPJ has escaped some dud performances this year. The recent performances at Edinboro and Clarion - albeit wins - are hard to comprehend. They had the miraculous comeback at Lock Haven and most recently hung on at home to defeat SRU. They were very out of sync in the home loss to Mercyhurst. That said, on other nights they've looked fantastic. UPJ won at Shippensburg and beat up East Stroudsburg.

For years, Coach Rukavina was famous for playing a very short rotation. This year they are playing 8 guys in double digit minutes and have a 9th guy just about there. Like IUP they spread the scoring around. UPJ is known for very hot starts -- particularly in Johnstown. Teams also see a style of offensive play from UPJ that is fairly rare in today's game. They love the back door pass, pick-n-rolls, etc.

From those I know close to the UPJ program, this game has been circled for a long time. They believe this is their year. IUP's weakness this year has been getting off to slow starts. That has to change. For the season, IUP is scoring a full 10 points more in the second half than in the first. They'll need to survive a likely surge tonight to start this game.

Based on Points per Possesion, This year's IUP team is better both offensively and defensively than both the last year's and 2013-2014 team. They are going to be a really tough team to beat, since they hold teams to .90 points per possession while they get an outstanding 1.18 (better than best team in D1).
Very high quality basketball in D2 (of course I am NOT claiming a D2 team would win against elite D1 schools as the athletic advantage of D1 overcomes their deficiencies in the quality of their game)
    Team Pts per Possession
    IUP 2020 1.18
    iup opp 2020 0.90
    iup 2019 1.15
    Opp 2019 0.94
    iup 2014 1.10
    opp 2014 0.91

At least they are on the road. You can actually watch the game.

One school in the league can't produce a live video feed.

I tried to watch the replay of the IUP vs Cal game. The IUP broadcast was like the Blair Witch on crack and 16 Red Bulls. Horrendous.
