    Re: Iup basketball

I was thinking about that today. I kind of think we may see a different Joe next year. He's going to have a ton of speed in that guard group.

Bryce and KJ will be ready to play immediately in smaller roles. White is abnice defensive pest.

But ... only so many minutes.

Joe needs to land one more post player to round out the roster.

The "Hawk Family" vibe is real...yes, IUPatty's and events like that are not exactly good press for the university, but for a 20-something looking to have fun and play extremely high-level basketball? That's a sell. (Oh, and the male/female demographics probably don't hurt either if you're a recruit, either.)
LOL ... yeah. Say what you will about the academics, etc., but IUP is Ivy League when it comes to the ladies on campus. Always has been.

With Chucky and Ulrich back underneath, it's a good start down low. I sure hope Keyes is finally in the picture. Ethan Porterfield will also be in the mix. I still think he'll add one transfer big. They will be pretty deep next year.

Next year got a whole lot better looking today with Morris Jr. signing.

That is going to be one heck of a guard trio next year -- Malik Miller, Armoni Foster and Morris Jr. Add to it incoming PG Bryce Radford and SG K.J. Rhodes, along with returning junior guard Anthony White ... That is a deep rotation.

    MoTown to Indiana. Love it.

Her brother Joe Mascaro was a senior on the Pitt basketball team this past season. He got to start in the final game of the season at home against Notre Dame.

They both played high school ball at Bethel Park.

You are correct. For some reason I thought she was a senior. They are going to again be pretty strong next year. Well, actually, the next several years.

It was clear when they chose not to redshirt him he'd be in and out fast. You don't waste a year playing the final 30 seconds of games if you're in the future plans.

The kid they did redshirt was Alan Glover Jr. He's a big boy -- about 6'5" and 230 lbs. He's pretty ripped. I think Tort would love him. He was a walk-on last season. He looks like he could be a nasty TE or DE.

It wasn't a major investment. I think he got a few bucks. Maybe a quarter ride. Worth a shot. He was a summer add. Only so many spots. I'd guess he wasn't invited back.

I think he can play at this level but not here.
