IUP only played with seven in the three-overtime regional semifinal against West Liberty in 2014. Marcel went for 27 and 10 off the bench in 43 minutes. Devante played 54 of 55 minutes and Mathis logged 52.

Aaron Faulkner was another good one kind of lost to history.

How about crazy Fannar ? His 'departure' certainly soured his role in program history. He was a scrappy one, though, during his time here.

The memory of Faulkner jumping up on the scorers table celebrating the one big win (region I think) will forever be seared into my cortex as one of the iconic moments of IUP sports history. Sort of like the flag raising at Iwo Jima.

Goodness, so many great players over the years. We were all lucky to have been a part of it all.

Gary Edwards didn't do it by design that year ... just kind of happened. That team was just on a mission there at the end. Could be mistaking but I think the 2000 team won the Regional Final by a really big number. They had a perfect mix of skill. No depth, obviously, but an incredibly strong starting five.

The 2000 team, while not remembered as one of the greats, had one of the great runs in program history -- ending in the Elite 8.

Recall that group, led by PSAC Player of the Year Mike Beckles, essentially reached the Elite 8 with a 6-man rotation. Seven on some nights.

Six-man rotation. I hope Joe doesn't read this board.

For those who remember, recall he was routinely double- and even triple-teamed on most nights.

Mims was a BAD man! I guess both literally and figuratively. Nastiest IUP post player ever with the mighty Webb right there.

How tall was Mims? I can't even recall exactly. Wasn't he like 6-10 or so?

Just curious - Does anyone know any details about Amir Hinton, who transferred from Loch Haven? Where is he going?

His former teammate at Lock Haven Tarojae Brake transferred to Kutztown. No word on Hinton.

Yes, I do remember him being smothered and he still dominated offensively! Defensively, good luck getting to the rim because he blocked everything!

Shawn Dyer not getting any love. One-year guys are tough, though, on such lists. That said, he was awfully good.
