    Re: Iup basketball

2 post players, played 78 minutes committing 3 fouls. "The Goon" played 17 minutes and was called for 4 fouls. Perimeter fouls were virtually even. Diaz & Brandwijk repeatedly played through the backs of the Edinboro post players. Does IUP win if Diaz is in foul trouble? Reading a box score and cheering doesn't add up to understanding

If you were at the game, you'd have noticed that the gentlemen in striped shirts are a bit intimidated by the used car salesman by day, mafia hitman by night, that rooms the IUP sideline. Despite his boyish looks, he his a great coach, but that team isn't very good at all. I've never seen a game in my life, were the bigs were allowed to play through the backs of the opposing players? Is that because of Joe? Or they don't want to swim with the fishes?

As for Staunch, he did score over 2,000 points in High School. A great win for the Indiana Bears on the road, yet they are still the victims? Win, lose or draw, at least you guys know that the rest of the world has it out for you?
I was at the game and I never thought the referees were intimidated in the least bit by joe or anyone else. I never got the impression that staunch was a goon or played dirty. He is a physical presence on defensive boards but often clogs the paint for the edinboro guards to drive to the hoop. His skill set is very limited on the d2 level. Both teams played hard and someone had to lose.

Nope, you're just clueless! If Joe intimidates refs, then how has this IUP team spent the whole year in foul trouble? You're way off base and your comments were way off base for this game also. Hence IUP had two foul outs and two other guys with 4.

When you say troll, is that message board jargon for someone who obviously knows what they are talking about? HPE & PE is the only thing that's been disputed?

Actually the basketball side is much more civil than the football side. We only get the occasional troll such as yourself.

Call the home office and complain about the refs. People answer when you call. We've been told, anyway. Lol.

And remember when Joe got a second added to the clock? That second added should have wiped out the bucket. I think the highlight was when Cleary was told to sit down, mean while Joe and the 3 stripes were making plans for beers afterwards......

Oh a tough guy shows up... I was at the game. Do you know sports at all??? IUP was in foul trouble all day, the refs were intimidated by Joe??? You can't be serious. Whats an HPE (Not PE) department have to do with anything? You don't even know what the department is. It's Health and Physical Education which has nothing to do with knowing sports.

Nevermind... talking to this clown is a waste of time!

The 2 starting big kids played 78 minutes committing a combined 3 fouls, so you can kind of read a box score.....

IUP was called for 22 personal fouls. Edinboro was called for 17. Sounds like they were petrified of Joe.

He went in the IUP huddle twice like a tough guy prior to the Dante situation.

Also, another bit of evidence against Staunch being a hired goon is that he has just 18 fouls in 12 games. Goons accumulate fouls like their type rack up penalty minutes in hockey. Staunch is a good reserve who plays physically.
Come on, you're going to believe what those two guys broadcasting were saying??? They couldn't get players names right, don't know what a baseline is and repeatedly made other mistakes. Seriously, those guys were homers and couldn't hear a darn thing that was being said on that court!!!
