I agree. There is nothing "wrong" with anyone's name. You just don't associate "precious" in our language with a kid the size of a bear. I always got a kick out of Lovie Smith coaching the Bears. I figured he had to be a tough dude to get through football with that moniker.

Nothing wrong with it.. its just funny (in America) to see a 6'9 240 male named "precious" lolOriginally posted by iupgroundhog View Post
Birth names are culture-centric. I see no problem with any of those names.
Reminds me of the old space hippie episode of the original Star Trek. The space hippies kept calling Capt. Kirk "Herbert" and made it into a chant. Herbert, Herbert, Herbert... Now that was funny.

They likely wonder why every American kid born between 1975 and 1990 all have one of about 5 first names.Originally posted by iupgroundhog View Post

Guys can't determine the name they get at birth, but it's hard not to chuckle at a 6-9, 240-pound guy being known as Precious. That said, I doubt I'd mention that to his face.

Not sure how Bazzoli keeps getting these D1 kids to come to Erie lol (there's gotta be some idea of "look at the kids were sending to D1 after us" lol)
Little more meat on this kid as Taz was 225.

The fishing is pretty good up there. Could be that, LOL.
It would be interesting to hear the pitches and see the approaches of the coaches in the PSAC when it comes to recruiting, especially nowadays.
