  • Coach Sheptock reported on the pre-game show yesterday that Nick Frame is still at Geisinger. Frame was taken off the field in an ambulance last week; it was a scary incident as he was not moving. The prognosis is reportedly good after testing, but he has a long hard road ahead and will be transferred to Philadelphia for rehab. Sending prayers and good wishes.

I spoke to Matt Frame (Nick's brother) after the game Saturday night. He told me his brother's rehab was underway and that he's doing well.

      • Wrestling season starting soon and recruiting will be the future. New staff working.

Cahill said he's hosted more than 85 potential recruits and more than two dozen have verbally committed to the program. NCAA rules prohibit Cahill from commenting on it, but one of those is Berlin Brothersvalley junior Braden Durst, who committed this fall.

"Our goal is to bring in a class of 30 guys that are hungry and have wrestled with the best guys and beaten them," Cahill said. "I think that we have the right kids so far, and we're going to do exactly that."

        • Watching the Eagles game. The referee is Bloomsburg alum Alan Eck 1990. The commentators mentioned he holds the record for completions in a season at 194. I had no idea as he was before my time at Bloom. Pretty neat.

Watched him play. He was an accountant and did officiating too. In 2016 he was officiating in the NFL. In 2022 he officiated the NFC Championship game between San Francisco and Philadelphia.

            • With most of the spotlight on players, it's cool to see a PSAC Alum gets some love as an official!

                • Bloom gets first winning season since 2018. They struggled all year with about 15 starters out with injuries, including 4 kickers, 3 wide outs, 3 running backs, and 3 OL. The QB doing all the kicking has been a gamble, like missing a 16 yard fg one game. They were picked last in the division to start the year, and finished 3rd.

26 seniors walked for their last home game today. The largest senior class I can remember, probably due to the covid year. 7 could decide to use another year of eligibility.

Congratulations. Looks like the program is on the upswing.

                    • Very pleased to see the Huskies get their first winning season since 2018.

(On a personal note, I'll add that today Lehigh in DI-AA/FCS and Moravian in D3 clinched their first winning seasons since 2016 and 2015 respectively, so today was a very good day.)

Well, it will be a winning season, but barely. I'm afraid the year will with a thud next week at Slippery Rock.

Great. I'll be looking for that. Old rivalry renewed tonight.

Never know. SRU is beat up a little per reports.

These final week games are tricky. You just may catch a team looking ahead.
