The lights were on the whole game according to radio Doyle/Uliciny, but had no effect until the sun went down.

Bloom was last in the PSAC in offense last year; the new OC really made a difference. The OL dominated with 5 rbs gaining yards. Bloom looked like a running team of old. Didn't miss any of the portal transfers guys today.

Nice win for you guys. Actually I think you'll find Ship was last in the PSAC in offense last season. Unfortunately, it's not something you forget. Looking at last year's stats, I was interested to find that our departed brethren from Mercyhurst ranked last in defense and were not great on offense either at 10th. Division I, eh?

I was pleasantly surprised by last night’s game. I didn’t get to tune in until garbage time but perusing the play-by-play and box score didn’t give me the impression that the result was unusually luck-driven or flukey. Was Fairmont worse than we thought or was BU better? I’m curious to see what next week brings against Seton Hill.

One thing I noticed both in-game and in the game notes is that former starting QB Riley is serving as the punter and
FG holder. I wonder if BU will end up taking advantage of that and trying a fake at some point this season. My preference in going for it on 4th is to just send the offense out since they’re your best guys but sometimes surprise can help.

Yeah, I thought the uniform overall was interesting, but I couldn't tell what they were trying to get with the helmet. I should add that I'm an old codger and am not a big fan of uniforms that aren't in the school colors.

Completely agree on the colors clashing with what the school colors are. If it's not in your color scheme then don't use it.
