Softball game was top notch. You sit there knowing that the last WT batter has the ability to tie the game with one swing of the bat - now that was fun. That was the only WT game I have seen but in Satruday's game WT pitching was not what we have seen in the past..

Agreed. Kilee Halbert, who is normally very good, shouldn't have faced more than one batter in the 5th; our coach was slow in yanking her. I thought Starkey did a nice job in relief, considering she inherited a really bad situation.

Part of the problem is that Angelo hitters are very good about not swinging at bad pitches! That should serve you well in the playoffs.

I was very impressed with this the entire weekend. We made Withrow work extremely hard. She lives off the edges and we made her come over the plate. Same thing against WT. I truly believe that Commerce or Tarleton can win their regional and who knows what will happen in Angelo, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see an all LSC super regional for the 2nd year in a row.

It's looking like WT will play ASU again.....If (big IF) all goes well for both teams.

Anything can happen when these two play. With ASU beating WT last, is it setting up for WT to win in the playoffs?? Or do the Belles have the Lady Buffs #?

Obviously I am not saying that it is going to go this way at all, but WT's pitching hasn't been as good as it has been in previous years. I think that is the main difference between this team and year's past. Kilee is really good, but she hasn't thrown it as well as Rita and the gang from previous teams. All things considered, ASU's pitching staff is probably the best in the Regional 2

You are right, anything can happen, but ASU is more talented that WT this year, partly due to ill-advised cuts last year. Our bench is weak in the outfield and we have only 2 good pitchers, and no neither is as good as Rita Hokianga - but few are.

I don't want to open a can of worms by going name by name. One who was cut went to a quality junior college where she led the team in home runs and hit over .400. She will be at ENMU next year.

Geez, I didn't realize that off of last year's roster 11 are no longer on the team and that doesn't count the ones who graduated. Wow!
