great tidbit. thanks for sharing. that might be a stop. and nothing is really "out of the way" -- the back roads are great

        11th at absolute best

Someone can correct me if I am wrong here, but they sponsor all 18 NSIC Sports so that gives them the advantage over most of the conference but that doesn't tell the whole story. I expect at or near bottom in anything that isn't volleyball or basketball.

I don’t really know how this contest works, but having all of the sports would be helpful.

You get points based on your standings at the end of each sport season. The more teams in the sponsored sport, the more points the championship is worth.

For example Basketball, all 15 schools sponsor it so winning the championship gets you 15 pts. Second place gets 14, and so on...add up the points at the end of the year and that's how we find out what Athletic Department won the All sports championship

Obviously sponsorship of sports is key in winning it, hence why MSU, Augie, USF, and Mary wind up near the top.

I’m sure GLIAC fans say the same thing about Grand Valley.

Purple and gold is attractive, I get it. If your crush gets to the level that you’d like to act on it, you can send gifts here:

You do know how to stir the pot oldyellaHer69. Interesting how you upper case the H only, perhaps you're female getting under the boys club skin.

                      • I am curious what everyone else thinks they will do in terms of All Sports Award ranking?

After looking at it a little closer, Crookston needs to add a couple more sports and they will start embarrassing a few schools at the bottom of the list

                        • I think somewhere around 11th to 13th is an attainable expectation for Year 1 in Division II.

It can be done. I think 11 is the max as well. The numbers are simply in their favor. A decent landing in Volleyball and Basketball should balance out some expected bottom finishes

Minot State finished 13th in its first season, ahead of SMSU, BSU and UMC (Sioux Falls finished SIXTH!). UMary finished 7th in the 10-team league in its first year, ahead of BSU, UIU (also in its first year), and UMC.
