  • Middle Georgia State

    Boo only one football school.
Middle Georgia had a good JUCO program back in the 90s. They dropped it due to costs. GMC was the only other JUCO program in the state, and both teams had to travel to PA and TX for games.

Later, the state consolidated Middle Georgia (affectionately and derisively called Middle Diddle) and Macon State College; so, it now has two campuses.

Middle Diddle had club football for a few years, but it looks like they have dropped it.

Is there talk of that? If Wayne left, where would they go? MIAA?

Just gossip. Yes, MIAA is about the only option. I think that they stay.

It's been brought up a couple times they're interested in the MIAA by people in the know, articles written about it, and Wayne isn't denying it

At least the NSIC will have one more season before they have to address this issue since Jamestown won't be in the league until 2025. So, we may have at least one more season of non-conference games involving the NSIC.

Really all of those teams together is kind of a weird conglomeration

                            Delaware
                            Florida International
                            Jacksonville State
                            Liberty
                            Louisiana Tech
                            Middle Tennessee State
                            New Mexico State
                            Sam Houston State
                            Texas-El Paso
                            Western Kentucky

Delaware also must pay a $5 million fee to move up. That is a new cost this year.....previously it was just $5,000.

The CAA already has too many teams. They should not be in the business of giving programs life rafts.

Who are they going to play football with since the MAAC doesn't have football and today the NEC announced that Robert Morris is coming back for next fall? They didn't list those two teams with the NEC schools that play the sport.
