Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

I do give them credit for gettin ahead of the game for cyber security and compter stuff. In Minnesota if we tried to add those at SMSU it would take a decade of study and meeting to even discuss it. DSU just went ahead and did it and it does get lots of students on campus

There is a reason why Georgia Tech is in the ACC and not the B10 or SEC. Both conferences don't want bottom feeders and markets with no value. The reason why Wyoming was ditched. You have to be selective.

It's insane to me that we even have to have this conversation. Next we're going to have to give Jamestown an honorary conference title so their feelings don't get hurt.

I think the worst thing you can do as a conference is to be restrictive about which programs can or cannot join. I don't eliminate any program based on enrollment, town population, on field success, or scholarship money, unless you're willing to pare down the current conference teams along with it. Because that's what those kinds of restrictions are signaling to current conference members. Not big enough? Not rich enough? Not good enough? Better start looking for other conferences, if you start blocking new programs from joining.

I get your point, but Georgia Tech is in Atlanta and has a market with plenty of value. But again, I understand your point.
Pac 12 schools were in this situation. Nobody wanted Oregon State or Washington State for those very reasons.

I wonder why Jamestown received a D from Forbes? Anyone know?

I looked into it - Forbes assigned a methodology to measure post-COVID financial recovery, and UJ got the worst grade possible. Not the best answer but it's what I got.

What's wild is that UJ charges $22,000 in just tuition for undergrads and only has about 900 students. Niche says that over 60% are athletes too. Their degrees are worth an average of $60,000 annually.

That's one hell of a business model.

I looked through the alumni list on the Wikipedia page a couple times and didn't see him - I did see Ron Erhardt though, he won 21 games as HC of the Patriots. That's kinda something.
