    Certainly was not me.

This is 100% why the NSIC voted to approve Jamestown.

It's a very real concern, especially at a time when there are so many unknowns at the Division I/FCS level. I do think there's a very real possibility that the Summit/MVFC will come calling in the next 5-10 years for schools like Minnesota State. And all it takes is one or two defections for a conference to fracture. When that happens, there needs to be backfill.

Well obviously. That's how conference realignment works. When someone defects, the league looks for a replacement. Jamestown saw an opportunity and went for it.

I would agree with this. It reminds me a lot of what Jamestown had been building for a decade before making the move.

Does the "build" include the cafeteria?

Jamestown has been slowly turning into SEC powerhouse the last decade.

I think I have some new motto's for Jamestown, let me know your thoughts?

“No one rides the pine for free.”
                “Tuition is the twelfth man.”
                "someone has to finish last"
“Enroll them all, and we’ll field a team.”
                “More jerseys, more tuition.”
                “Strength in numbers… literally.”
“If you can pay, you can play.”

The North Star was falling apart and a league where teams had to play each other twice and all that fun of a tiny league. It was only a matter of time before that league had to fold. UJ was also a geographic outpost in the GPAC..so they were in a bad spot in terms of having a conference home that would work long term. When UJ got the ball rolling for D2, the Frontier East wasn't a thing..and that isn't a good thing for the NStar teams anyway with the wild travels they'll have out west.
Correct. It was at a point where you played every conference opponent in football twice - home and away. This was set in motion with Presentation closing. Viterbo and Bellevue didn't have football -- so while the conference was strong and competitive and sustainable in all other sports, it was not in football

Actually really enjoyed my visit down there last year. That was fun.
How does Dakota State have a higher ceiling? They are comparable. Madison is 6000 people Jamestown is 15,000. I will say DSU has more students on campus, but that's it.

Advantage Jamestown; Great location for schools in northern half of conference. nice facilities and school vision.

Advantage DSU; Robust school with 3700 students, nationally recognized cyber security program, computer technology degrees, nice facilities, city is surrounded by glacial lakes.

It's closer to Sioux Falls, the center of the NSIC Universe.

Academics, alumni base, campus investments... is UJ planning an indoor facility? That stuff matters.

Far better location too. Closer to Sioux Falls than Jamestown is to Fargo....

Just my opinion. I've been to DSU several times and I'm impressed with them. UJ? Not as impressed.
